There are times when I am SO glad I’m old, and will be dead soon…but then I ask myself “Where do morons go when THEY die?” Then I am afraid….very afraid!

Furthest, is the end of the Vulcan shroud threaded? (Male or female?)

Available in carbon fiber and aluminum too? Any price difference?

Ps: When did the new Vulcan shrouds arrive? Are they on the current batch, or due in the next shipment??

Andy said the 3″ long “Shorty” would help, but a bigger shroud is needed to make it really quiet. He is working on one and will advise further when he has made some progress.

Hoot:

That’s 3.5″ Hoot, and I’ve finalized the design of both. The full shroud being 13″ sounds a tad quieter with a deeper note than my MiniMod attached to the factory unit. Both are much quieter than the factory unit alone.

I have a .22 Vulcan and I don’t need it any quieter but if you have a .25 you might need an after market shroud or LDC for back yard use. However from what I heard about this shroud it doesn’t do much to bring the sound down. But maybe they have worked more on it. If I want to bring down the sound more on the Vulcan I will strategically vent it before increasing the length.

The newest .25 Vulcan shrouds may be quieter than the 1st ones, but they are still way too small internally for any improvement. That is why I developed my full shroud system. For those just wanting to ad a more cost effective device, my MiniMod fills the bill nicely, and is nearly as quiet.
Haven’t heard a new .22 Vulcan yet, but as their shroud internals are very similar to the KalibrGun Colibi, I’d expect the Vulcan to be as quiet.

If I would do anything it would be the short add on. But I feel it’s quiet enough for me. It’s amazing how quiet it is considering how short it is

I like the minimod (shroud extension) because it makes the gun quieter for my back yard, but I can take it off whenever I carry the gun elsewhere.

they do look nice……
i like the cf one the best.
but i don’t want too made my bullpup any longer.
i have a 22. they are more quite than the 25.

still guys like to do mods on their guns, i think it would help the 25. vulcan guys,
if you don’t mind making your gun longer.
but too me with a bullpup, you start getting 30 inches & over is’t getting too long.
and if you like shooting out of a truck with yours, it will be too long at that point.

but we all have our own likes, that’s what makes the world go round.

They sure look nice….
