Q:

Vulture goes 308 for JSB pellets

Got a .TJ barrel liner installed last night. Was able to shoot it today .
Had to use the first stem choke setscrew to prevent a tank dump.
Shooting the pellets at 750 up to 810 back to 750 over 20 or so shots
Lost track 🙂 decent accuracy but a better fit would help.
Pellet at 0.300″ / 0.308″
Barrel at 0.302″/ 0.308″

here is 5 at 40 yards leaning over the hood of my truck version 1 sizing. ( version 2 are better IMO )

used paint to hilight the contacts on teh concrete. The letter is 2″ wide at the outside of the paint.
Shot at 4:00 o’clock is the first one and then settled in for the next four.

Don’t you just love-it when a plan comes together! 😉

Shoot much better now as they fit the barrel nicely.

OK, I’m with you now.

upsetting the FX 30 cal pellets.

they are too small for conventional 30 cal barrels.

So you are taking .25 pellets and sizing the skirts and smushing the heads to .308?

Fingers crossed! 😉

Quickly upset some pellets. Measure 0.303″ x 0.312″
Will prep the leade for that and see how it goes.

First proof of concept effort. Pellets indeed grow with a bit of pressure.

made a proper fitting nose die

improved die indicated true with a coax indicator

I’ve been thinking about a Smooth-Twist in .303. I wonder if AOA is going to be getting any of them. They handle .22 and .25 now.
