Q:

WAHOO..UPS has been to my house….

Brought me the TalonSS and Turbo FX pump…got dark and I didn’t even get to shoot it 🙁 🙁 🙁 but I watched the video, learned how to correctly use the pump, tried it out and did my first fill of HPA on the TSS !!!! You can bet I’ll be up and out EARLY tomorrow morning.I gotta say from what I see, the Air Force guns are like light years ahead of the other makers!!! It’s just Freeeeeeekin’ COOOOOL !!! Even came with the 5 shot test string they ran through it….awesome…Haven’t bought a tank yet..I rented a 100cuft to see how many fills I can get from it…it’ll either be 100 or an 80cuft..Rented the 100, filled to 3400psi….$10.00 for two days.

It must be a sign I’m meant to have a talon LOL I took the new rws apart to lube the spring and found one of the stock mounting screws severely cross threaded and so much rust under the muzzle break the bluing is gone. That suckers going back! Hello talon! 😀

How long does it take to fill the tank from 2000 to 2800 psi with a hand pump?

All the cost and hassle of dealing with scuba equipment doesnt seem worth it to me.

Ho ho ho. You will learn my friend 😆 Keeps some cash hidden away for that scba tank you will buy in about 2 mths time(depending on how much you shoot your gun 😉 ) Hand pump is for emergencys. You want to have a nice long afternoon of shooting? You don’t want to spend half that time pumping by hand! You wanna do lots of testing and adjusting? You don’t wanna spend half your time pumping by hand! 😉

That is all. 😆

LOL I bet. I just bought an RWS panther pro 2 weeks ago, then I found the airforce rifles… I havent bought one yet, but I think its just a matter of time 😕

I just picked up my new scuba tank yesterday afternoon, bought the 100 cu. ft. according to AIRHOG, if I go from 2800 down to 2000 (IIRC) I’ll get like 16 refills and at 40-50 shots each, that’s a LOT OF SHOOTING between refills. Trouble in this little backwards Georgia town I live near, is that there is ONE dive shop..ONE! And the old man that owns it looks at me like I’m from another planet…he’s a diver, NOT a shooter! Anyhow, scuba works for me, and is a LOT cheaper than the SCBA..of course, it wasn’t long ago that I said I saw NO NEED to go to HPA, and that I would NEVER spend more than $250.00 for any airgun!! so, with that in mind, I won’t say I’ll NEVER spend THAT MUCH for simple compressed air…cause ya just never know what’s coming ’round the bend……

You will probably end up filling your gun to 2500 o or 2800 psi once you learn it. They seem to like the lower fill pressure. Less valve lock. And a lot more fills from you tank. You can get only 1 3000 fill from a 3000 tank. And just barley that if your lucky.

Mac-1 Airguns sells used carbon fiber tanks for really good prices! 😉

Congrats!

the scuba shop will fill to spec plus 10% so they fill my 3000 to 3300 then it drops as it cools ends up at 3050 unless they empty it then a hot 3300 fill comes out at 2800 .

who is it I order the WOK-BUTT from? I can see a need for that already.

You are all set my friend.

You are getting off to a good start!

Thanks for that link…friend of mine sent it to me this morning, so I got it figured out….went gave the man the money today and got a 100 cu ft tank ordered…..I’ll have it Monday, in the meantime I’ve got PLENTY of air in the one I rented…
I looked at tose other tanks, they’re just too expensive for my blood (read as I don;t have the cash 😥 ) the 100 is a 3500, so it will do me good, I have 3 other airguns, so Talon will get to rest-once the “new” wears off. I ran 200 rws 14.5 superdomes through it this morning. Man I bediggin’ the high-techness ….schweeeeeet 😀 Now , who is it I order the WOK-BUTT from? I can see a need for that already.

Get the ABUCS tank, it’s lighter and can do up to 4500 psi. With a fiber tank, it’s safer than than other tanks but of course cost a lot more 😆 😆 😆

Well, $80 more for 25% volume didn’t make sense to me so I got the 80 cu ft. tank.

Speaking of tanks…is the number of fills from the 100cuft worth the extra cost of the tank..80cuft is $160.00 100 cuft is $240.00 which is better deal??

If the 100cf tank is a 3500 psi, then I think it is worth it. It must be otherwise I can’t see how they filled it to 3400 psi…well, maybe they would fill a 3,000 psi tank that high if they new it wasn’t for dive purposes…Let us know what the tank says on the side of it???

Check this out to see how many fills you would get. http://www.airhog.com/tank.htm

i dont know on scuba tanks but if u have the avilability to get a 4500 fill go carbon fiber
i have a carbonfiber tank and can get 30-35 fills on my gun
