Q:

Wanted .25 single shot adapter or breech

As the title
I’m in the UK and looking to turn the matador into a single shot loader.
I know the new single shot brew just is 200 Euro but that’s more than I want to pay.
Can anyone help?
Regards
Mark

No I haven’t tried that.
Bump on the adapter.

Have you tried disabling the magazine feed and simply indexing the magazine manually? It had the feel of the single shot when cocking, you can feel the magazine index into the correct position, and as long as you always turn it in the same direction, there no skipped pellets.

Bump

I have one OEM in .22 only…

Pushed the pellets through. Seem fine. Cycling the empty mag it does have some movement in it.

Not had chance to check but will be able to later. Kids are away for the night and so is the Mrs!

Just heard back off Ed and he has no single shot breech left in stock.

On the look out for one.
So Bump Bump

Thanks for the help. I will check tonight.
Many thanks

Possible causes of the odd flyers ……

The mag could have burrs in them, push some though manually and check pellet for shave offs and shiny spots.

If the mags are cycling poorly they could cause miss aliment feed in issues which deforms the pellet(s) going into the breech.

Does your mag advance index to much or too little ?

Thanks for that. I have contacted Edgunwest but heard nothing back. I am in the United Kingdom.
I contacted Ed and it said the one shot breech was 200 euro. It’s a little more than I wanted to spend. I do like the sound of a true one shot breech.
I seem to be getting out of the 9 shots 6 grouping well and the odd couple of flyers.
I am hoping it’s the cycling of the mag that’s the problem.
I also tried the JSB heavys which didn’t cycle very well in the mag.
Any help would be great.

I think it is impossible to buy a single shot breech for Matadors now. Brian, Wingman, correct me if I am wrong. However, you can get a single shot loader: http://www.edgunwest.com/store/p31/EDgun_Single_Shot_Loader_.html
