was wondering how long this Co2 tank was going to last
I did some searches for “Co2 performance”, “Co2 tank duration” etc, but didn’t find much. I’ve been using the same 12oz. tank for 3 months now. I thought,”it can’t last too much longer”. Was going to get on here and ask some other people if the pellets lose speed gradually, or if the tank seems to empty all of a sudden. I was thinking of getting my chronograph out to check velocity. Last time i checked it was 560-570 fps w/ Jsb Exacts(12″ barrel). I had head shot a squirrel earlier at 20 yards, dead on as usual Then i shot a 5 shot group at 20, all almost through the same hole. I had 3 crow mags I wanted to try, first one sounded weak, hit the cardboard a foot below my target. the next crow-mag sounded even waeker, hit 2 feet low and didn’t penetrate the cartdboard. Yep, that tank is definetly empty! Put a fresh Co2 tank on and my last crow-mag punched out the center of the bullseye i was aiming at. The squirrel I head shot was eating one of the tomatoes out of the garden, he must have bled a pint onto the rock he was sitting on. I put some photos on Photobucket, now just have to figure out how to get them here.

Hi Packrat, mine was picky about its light source. I finally bought their light kit and set it up in my garage. The display stopped fully forming the last two digits fully. That’s why I sent it back. What I find strange is the mixed bag of people’s experiences. Its like hit and miss with SC. What’s up with that? Some people post their glowing reports. Then there the horror stories like mine. I have found several like mine where guys say they were cheated out of their units altogether. After my negative experience with them, I believe what these guys have posted.
It’s too bad that one jerk manager/VP can screw up things so badly. It has become my new hobby to post my negative experiences whereever I can. Other sportsmen like ourselves should be warned of the potential hassles and frustrations that await when one buys a shooting chrony product.
