Eldy are u using the stock af breech on the .30?
For me its the “because I can” factor… its kinda cool to have a compact .30. Would any of us really thought about a .25 pistol?? This is sorta the same thing as the TalonP isn’t it? Albeit with a larger projectile… as it goes in the Marine Corps…

We are just pointing out that your USP seems to be the effectiveness of your bigbore kit on pigeons. You’ve come up with a solution on a problem that doesn’t exist. In fact, your kit is LESS effective to a shooter than the other calibres out there for the job.
Tell me, what is the advantage in lobbing .30 cal’ projectiles at a slow speed over .25 cal’ at high speeds? I’ve yet to see a pigeon fly off after being hit with 50 odd fpe in .25 cal’
Why do I need to make a hole I can put my head through as opposed to a .25 hole. Can .30 make it more dead? Does it magically reduce flesh damage and therefore put more meat on the plate?
What does it do better? Serious question.
I will have to agree with knife and pab, this make no sense unless you want to hunt big game and even then you need more fps. Maybe if you can post some chrony numbers. I suspect you’re getting around 400 fps… way too slow.

Hell, just doing it in most States is illegal.
But if none of this were the case, there is simply NO reason to launch such a heavy slugg into the air. It is way over kill for birds which have very light skin and bones. It endangers farm animals and workers, and when you finally do deside to go after something a little larger, Say a Yotle dog for instance, your going to have no penetration what so ever.
but as it is right now, your just way over bored for the game. And very dangerous. I love Big Bores. Don’t get me wrong. They have their uses. This isn’t one of them.

Lol, .25 is more than enough for pigeons, why the hell would you need more, with a much loopier trajectory??
Speed up the .30 and then you are talking predator territory.
.30 at low speeds is pointless. Sure, they smash pigeons, but what’s the point of that?? I’d rather use .25 with a flatter trajectory than lobbing a .30 in the general direction.
I just picked up this .30 barrel. Im pretty stoked! The 12″ one. Im going to have Tony build me a talon ss up with the hammer slap mod and his silencer stuff. I’m not doing any power mods, but I am using one of his one-piece top hats. It will be a tuned rifle, but again not shooting much hotter than stock if he can help it. Should be a sweet critter-gitter at 50 yards and in. 😈 :8:
Eldy do you have a tank with a high flow valve? I am wondering how a .30 cal would perform setting it up like a condor using the condor valve and an 18″ barrel or longer. If anyone has the ability to test that setup or has an idea of what the fps one could expect from that type of a setup i would like to see the numbers.

It was a modified breech I believe. For the .30 barrel. All else is stock. He was putting kits together to be as drop in as possible.
