can tell you this, they function as relaibaly for me as any semi auto firearm.
Too each his own however much of the objections like your that I hear adverse to semi auto PCPs reminds me of similar objections that were raised when breechloaders came out then later when repeaters were developed and after that when selfloading firearms hit the market
the old “you only need one shot” or the ever popular, “you will waste ammunition”
frankly Bullpups only really start to shine as selfloaders as a semi auto action allows the shooter to maintain cheekweld while shooting
semi auto Edgun…that truly is rather an ultimate to me 😉

I do believe, unless the cost is prohibitive, I’d order a Standard single shot bolt action, and order the semi kit as well.
My taste changes from time to time. I like the single shot for taking it easy accuracy related recreational shooting.
The semi-auto would be the bong for my nocturnal pest control, and general poaching activities.

PS: Ed….you watching all this activity? Can you give us a little info on the cost of the conversion kit? Can we start a waiting list? In fact, I think it would be mighty white of you to include a conversion kit with each of the Edgun buyers new purchases from this forum.

already have a FX Revolution and a Monsoon, both in .22 to go along with my Indy. Would love a semi .25 to compliment my FX500
I’m waiting before I place my vote until I decide which I like better, the single shot or the magazine. I definitely don’t want a semi-auto. I’ve seen the FX Moonson and never wanted one. Seems to me a semi-auto is a novelty that would soon wear off and would be prone to failure do to requirement of fast moving parts.
The point has been made that the magazine isn’t necessary if you can hit your target in a single shot, which the Edgun is known for. Also I prefer to single load my FX Royale when I’m doing serious target shooting since I always worry that the pellet can be slightly deformed when pushed through the magazine. I guess I’d have to see or hear how well a new Edgun magazine handles a pellet.
One advantage I see for a magazine is in the ease of reloading without hunting for a pellet. But this seems easily addressed by using a pellet holder. And if this convenience reduces accuracy due to the pellet being deformed a bit……..oh decisions, decisions….
Riverside, I believe the semi action is supposed to replace all the actions, so I am hopeful that you will score!
I can’t imagine why it wouldn’t, the only difference is the diameter of the barrel, everything else should be stock production.
The reason I say this, is Oldgoat and I discussed moving the bolt action from the Long .25 over to a Standard .25, and he said it would be no problem. Drop in, tighten the bolts!

That’s a very good point, if accuracy and reliability is not diminished. I wish I had one of each to test and find out. I can almost assure you that I’ll waste ammo. I do with a semi-auto .22 PB and definitely would tear into whatever with a semi-auto Edgun. That’s probably a positve for a semi-auto edgun when making a choice.
Of course, if it costs $500-600 more to have semi-auto which would you choose, a single shot or a semi-auto?
