The reason this guy got such a hard time is because of the number of anti-gun nuts that read the BBS, waiting to report to the media any sign of law-breaking they detect. It is true that the 12 fpe limit is ridiculous, but having a gun over this results in a mandatory 5 year jail term, so what can you do? Sometimes we have people pretending to be gun enthusiasts who ask questions like this, hoping for the answer ‘it doesn’t matter mate, have any power you want’. Then they go off to our stupid media and report BBS users as gun nuts. It’s a difficult situation and gun ownership is always going to be a contentious issue here.
But you are quite right with the ‘sheeple’ term. England has become a fukking joke of a country, where people care more about making sure muslims are happy and prisoners have colour TV than actually solving problems of crime, immigration and a basic loss of skills from our workforce (all outsourced to the eastern euopeans…it is the land of Niko Bellic).
But having said all that, we can have silencers! And if you have a fire arms certificate you can have anything you want, provoding you can justify it (Barrets not included). Our countries each have their problems, I lived in california till I was nearly 9 and then moved here, so I have seen both sides of the pond. But it is better to argue over gun control, than over evolution.
I don’t think i’ve been here two months and feel like i’ve been here forever. oops not quite three months.
I know we pick on people a lot (a lot) but we do it in a joking manner, that’s serious attacking there. Poor guy. It’s like everyone else thinks that because this guy has a gun he’s trying to make legal, that their forum is going to be shut down or something.
Stupid people.
Note to everyone, if you want to ask how to detune a gun to make it legal, just lie and say you live in the USA and want to make it quieter or something like that. đ

Arguments over common day issues, Football, the Royals, Gardening, Pets, price (how justified) of petrol, beer, property rates etc.
Its not so much the subject, but the passion of the debaters that was interesting to watch. It was rare to see capitulation. Some folks would get so upset, they avoid each other for weeks and over what? Shit that doesnât really matter.
I enjoyed my time in England, had a lot of fun. Different culture and lifestyle. Nice place to visit, but its good to be home.
Probably if brushing your teeth should be done on your birthday or on Christmas…but not both!

I lived in England for 5 ½ years 20 years ago and was a regular at the local Pub. Some of the arguments I witnessed were outrageous and yet very serious in nature. As an American all I could do was reframe from laughing my ass off. Things havenât changed!!!
Starting to remind me of Germany in the 30’s. They have been turned in to sniveling sheeple. But they will defend ther government for making them safe to the end.
Sadly, I see theis same mentality every time I have to fly to LA.
It sickens me. It will spread to all of us before we know it!

Anyone who can hit something accurately over 60 yards is a liar on the Brit forums…
Someone in that very post says that Talon’s cant shoot 37fpe accurately with a 12″ barrel… Thats odd cos mine shoots at 45fpe and shoots very well..
They are VERY quick to turn on their own…. Most seem to sit around in their smoking jackets looking for things to whine about.
I guess that’s what living in fear that you gun might jump from 11.5 to 12.1 fpe if you put the “wrong” pellet in it will do to you.
I see a lot of that. I think what it is, is some of the British fellows are just jealous of the fact that we can have 37 ft. lbs. if we want without a license!
It’s either not powerful enough for this or that, or too powerful.

Probably the best way to handle that guys situation is to tell him to return the gun to stock components. And to have him send his valve to gun power and have it checked out.
He know he should not have stated the gun was shooting 37ftlbs. So he was a little naive to state that knowing it is illegal.
But the paranoia on the BBS is alarming. đŻ
