Q:

Weight of Synthetic Cricket .25 Cal?

Can anyone please provide a factual, real world weight on the synthetic Cricket bullpup in .25 cal? (no guesses please – I see all kinds of weights advertised on just as many websites, they all differ). I have one on order with AOA, and I am considering a custom stock after it arrives. Trying to determine how much weight I can shave off.

BTW, Any pic’s of your cricket WITHOUT the stock? I have never seen a naked cricket, but I would like too! 🙂

(kind of wonder why no one has pursued a more tactical looking AR15 / Airforce Talon type stock mod in order to make stock a little more adjustable and the whole gun LEANER – kinda of like my PWS AR15 http://primaryweapons.com/firearms/mk1/ergo/ ).

The weight of my .25 Cricket with standard synthetic stock, 2 loaded mags, and Hawke Airmax 4-12 X 40 is 10.14 lbs. Same gun & mags, but with standard skeleton stock and Simmons 6-24 X 44, is 8.32 lbs.

Here’s my Cricket .25 Synthetic with Hawke Sidewinder 6.5 x 20 x 42 Tactical Scope, and 2 full mags.

The weight is actually deceiving? My wife held the rifle for the first time and thought it was six pounds? It’s a stocky little rifle for sure.

I have a compact so i can’t give you the weight of the .25

but the synthetic stock is weighs in 3 lbs. and the skeleton comes in at 1.2 lbs
