Well I got bored and it is cold out Sooooo

I had an old Daisy Powerline 790 co2 pistol that had been sitting for
years so, I decided I would try to bring it back to life..I went to Wally
World and got co2, .177 pellets and a small indoor pellet trap… 4 hours
and 6 empty co2 cartrages later the Daisy 790 Powerline found itself
completely disassembled and in a box in the garage… Anyone need
parts???? So anyway, I didn’t let that debocle harsh my mellow 😆 , I
filled the pellet trap with Duct Seal and set it up at 16ft…. I broke out the
Benjamin 132 .22cal pellet pistol with a Center Point red dot scope. I
have been having this pistol since I was 15… Poor thing has seen better
days…lol I fired a few groups and found the trigger was just not cutting
the mustard. It felt like it had a 10lb pull and about 15yds of creep with a
few notchy spots along the way…. Not good 😯 so
, I tore into it and started polishing stuff…. Once I had the
sear and trigger polished, I sharpened the angle where the sear catches
the hammer to make it break clean.. I had a piece of Telfon that I cut
into a strip and placed it between the trigger and sear so that there would
be no metal to metal contact and it also took up some of the trigger
creep so now the trigger breaks with very little creep at all… I can feel
one microscopic spot just before it breaks… I compressed the sear
spring to reduce the tension to a point where the sear would just barely
catch the hammer… I then pulled the hammer out to polish the face
where the sear drags and polished the inside of the tube where the
hammer is housed. I cleaned and lubed the spring, hammer and trigger
and put it back together… Well a little elbow grease goes a long way…

Mind you, this is only a 16ft distance so as much as I am happy with the
groups, my pistol skills leave a lot to be desired if you think about
having to try it at 10meters….
