Well, I’m now out of the PCP game.
7 years,….and it sure has been a grand time.
I entered the PCP world with Hog hunting in mind, In all those years I owned many great guns and was fortunate enough to be able to shoot many more.
When I first started I had no idea what to expect ( there wasn’t much info about Hog Hunting than ) However the deeper I got into it, the more the results exceeded all my wildest expectations, it was a great learning and rewarding process.
PCPs are, when used correctly a truly wonderful hunting weapon, with the capability of upping or lowering the power they are extremely versatile.
However, I Killed many Hogs and other stuff and eventually with time the callenge/excitment become stale, just “matter of fact”,
at that point since I never had interest in target shooting and plinking with PCPs,….. and still don’t have ( I have my break barrels for that ) I saw no reason to keep them.
Hunting you ask ?…… well I’ve been making bows again and fine tuning my archery, so You’ll see me on the Back Room/Off topic or whatever those sections are called ;D ;D
Some companies contacted me offering to send guns for reviews, I take nothing for granted until I get an actual gun in my hands, and if that happens I’ll take them for field testing and hunting giving them the most objective review that I’m capable of.
Otherwise I’ll try to wean myself of the PCP sections

Many folks don’t realize how accurate a slingshot can be. When I was about 17, I asked my mom if she’d cook dove if I shot it and dressed it. “What are you going to shoot it with?”, she asked with suspicion. I told her a slingshot.
“OK, sure, you go and get the dove and I’ll cook it.” (Not believing)
45 minutes later, I had two doves and a squirrel.
“Oh my God, you did it! … I’m not cooking that rat!”

Ya, slingsshot was way fun way back then.
Last year or so I was heavily into Blow gunning and got real good at it.
A very primeval weapon but I’ve heard that is where Airguns first originated from.
Funny after all the advancements made there’re still techniques that carried on into Airguns from blow guns till today, like fallow through.
Believe it or not it made me a better Airgunner shooter, my 200 feet target shooting.

Best to you, Manny. There is a certain, addictive lure in archery. As a kid, my mom’s wartime experience made her prohibit guns in the house, even air guns. Friends and I lived with bows and high power slingshots, to the point of reliably being able to shoot doves, quail, squirrels, and the ultimate test … grasshoppers.
Would love to see some of your creations and hear what wood(s) you’re using. Osage Orange (Maclura pomifera) is the go-to bow wood here.

I consider this past few years just the second step in the technological evolution of the airgun sport that started some 5 hundred years ago.
Of course there was more money to be made in producing gun powder that cost considerably more than air ❗
Archery is a worthwhile endeavor but IMO requires physical skills that many have difficulty in achieving.
Like the six shooter of the old west, the airgun is fast becoming an alternative choice for personal protection while providing great sport. Where personal skill level is the limiting factor for archery, the potential useful range of the airgun is much greater and rapidly increasing while requiring significantly less personal physical agility. Ah yes, the airgun is my choice and I will stick with it.
Just wish I could make great videos but don’t have any wild and dangerous animals either. Just paper targets and personal protection for me.

Manny , you have given this forum many great posts . In life some of us decide what will be the next chapter we will embrace as to our personnel
feelings as to what we should do . You have decided to leave the Air Gun world and move on to something else . I wish you the very best in whatever
