Well…
I’m curious whether anyone has received their 2.5 Matador?
Not quite sure what the difference is between them and the 3.0 but I’d like to see any thoughts or comments on the 2.5.

Well guy sorry for holding out.I also recieve R 2.5 wanted test it out.First of all wanted to said thanks to Tony & Ed for one hell of a piece and also to the guy on the forum. 😉
I doubt that semi auto magazine will be ready for R3 in this year, probly just for R2.5.
Sweet!
Now, for that semi-auto modification.
Edgun Matador R3 .25
I’m also awaiting my 2.5 (Tony just sent me tracking# for). This will be my first PCP as well.
Since the topic of air comes up can someone nudge me the right direction for the right / psi tank? Maybe a link to a carbonfiber? This is a new world to me vs. all my firearms.
Less air would be good. I have 2, 4500 psi SCBA tanks and a Shoebox compressor to fill them so air usage isn’t a factor.
A higher shot count would be good to put the Royale, Airwolf and Rapid owners in their place on the Yellow Forum!
Also what is told by my salesman is that the new barrel uses less air.
Kinda strange when you hear it, but, it needs less air to produces the same spin and velocity. So the R3 handles air better then the R2.
Also available in basic black. I hope!
Ain’t she purdy?!

Ed explains the differences in this thread:

I waited about 2 months for my .22 standard and about 6 months for my .25 long version. I thought that I have been waiting a lot longer for my .25 long R3, it sure as hell seems like it but, it has only been 7 months, so far.
Ed and Tony, I am still patiently waiting. Kinda sorta.
I hate waiting for Edguns!
😀
Agreed!
However, with the demand Ed has today, he seems to have little need for pushing his product to buyers.

I’ve had a few guys email/PM me through Youtube to tell me they received a Matador, and wanted to know what they should do to squeeze every inch of accuracy out of it. For me, the BIG improvement in the 2.5’s over my 2.0 is that newly designed LW barrel. I know the 3.0’s have some further modifications, but for me that barrel is the best innovation Ed made. Then again….I have not yet held a 3.0, so maybe I should hold my tongue. 😳

Ted,
you are one of the few people that Ed should send a “FREE” Matador, thats called great marketing :thumb:

Yes, Kazz, you did and I forgot about that.
Still, my main interest is what is being brought into the US, as we know Ed is currently strapping these Matadors on wild Tuna, with hopes they will be caught by US fishing fleets, and forwarded to the rightful owners.
That being said, there are Edgun products available in Eastern Europe that we can’t get. I still don’t know the difference between a 2.5 and a 3.0, or even what the forthcoming semi-auto version is called.
I am a simple, ignorant, mountain man, trying to improve my knowledge about what’s going on down in the “flat lands”.
So, any information is welcome, as we only get mail once a month up here, when the mule train brings in supplies, and a Faith Healer to deal with any sickness.
Kindest Regards,
