Q:

What are the possible causes of Zero shift?

This is a case of long term storage.

I left my airgun in its case, went overseas for a while. Lucky to come home in one piece, happy to find the gauge shows the air has not leaked, but when I test fired a few shots, and I was off some three inches at 35 yards. The gun was zeroed as I stored it in its case. The case is a Flambeau double scoped rifle case. No one touched it while I was away.

Any ideas?

Guys, I don’t understand the problem here!

If there truly was “Zero Shift”, why is Wetdreams007 having a problem with this? Most folks would be thrilled to come home after spending time in a Turkish prison and find their air gun has no shift in POI…(point of impact)

Wet007…when there is “zero shift” in your POI…that’s a GOOD thing!

This is essentially the same problem Paul Newman had with that warden in Georgia…“What we’ve got here-uh…is a failure (to) communicate!”

Kind regards,

PS: You’re too young to be messing with Jody! Stick with your right hand for a couple more years.

Most airguns do that kinda stuff if left sitting awhile. Pick one up by the barrel it’ll do it too.

Is Jody the one in the avatar?

Jody is dude that plays with your toys while your on deployment

Yes, guns and women are that way and that is typically just like a woman is.
If ya don’t touch them often, they can get frigid !

POI Hi low left or right ?
Did you check it with a chrony to see if there is any drop in speed ?

POI was about an inch to the left, about half inch low.

I remember the fps was 849 just before I placed it in storage, the new fps upon my return is 852fps. FPS seems ok.

I was careful not to grab the barrel. This is the longest period of time I have an airgun imprisoned in its hard case.

Thanks guys.

aw, things just must have settled in a happier place.
Minor scope inner tube fatigue from turrets spring(s),maybe.
