Would be the best psi output to get on the jds reg(on the e-tacreg) to achieve 950 fps with JSB Kings (24gr) on a 24″ .25 barrel?
Will this new e-tacreg/jds be able to deliver that? Jim has managed 960fps using 2000psi, in .22 with 18gr jsb on a 24″ barrel.

Thats funny Jerry, as I was reading these posts…and how these JSB kings are always first and foremost…I heard your words in my head and then…BAM! There they were as I scrolled down 😆
I still keep your 7 rings next to my night stand as the go to round to reach for should my alarm start ringing. At least I did up until my recent build of T.D.’s archer conversion. I think I’ll do more damage with a 100gr broadhead putting out 100 fpe 😎 Hey, if there are two invaders..and if they break through the door in single file, I might be able to pin them together while they wait for the Leos to show up 😈

Having seen the early results of the etac_jds reg, I’m thinking 2400 output should put my .25 JSBs at around 980 odd and the kodiaks around 910 ish..??

With 2000 psi in my condor bottle I get a little over 1000 fps with 18g JSBs. Same bottle on 25 condor , same 2000 fill gets 1000fpe with 25 JSBs . I think it is the big soda straw / little soda straw principle, air just goes through the larger barrel more effienctly .
Pabs, Im not sure about the volume of the EtacREG, but mine is roughly 1.5 cubic inches and at 2000psi, Your JSB kings (Thanks again) zip along at around 1000fps from a 24.5″ BSA .25 barrel
If I knew the volume of the EtacREG then I would happily add a lump of aluminium to my regulated volume to reduce it to the same, and tell you what it takes to get the JSB’s to the speed you want.

actually, you would have to refer to the earlier post. Are the guns in your original post equipped the e-tacreg?
If so, then I would think you would need the 3030PSI to make up for the reduced flow.
If one gun had the e-tacreg and one did not, then I would have no clue, I would contact the person who designed it.

The volume of the reg adaptor comes into play as well. At the mo’ I can get 960 easy at 2100 psi. But thats straight off the bottle. It delivers enough volume to do it. How much psi will I need given the reduced volume of the E-tacreg??

I am no math whizz…plus I just took my medications but figuring he is firing 18gr at 960 psi in .22
here is my redneck math
2000psi/18gr= 111.11psi/gr needed to accelerate up to 960FPS
now a .25 is 1.13 times larger than a .22 so you would need approximately 126.26PSI/gr
therefore in order to accelerate your 24gr in .25 at a velocity approximate to 960FPS you would need 3030.3030psi
