Q:

What do you think of this model? No More Morgan Buttplate

Working on a design for you guys so you can replace the AF plate without using the Morgan plate. This can also be adjusted up and down and side to side for a offset.

I came up with this. If people like it I will make a few for sale. How much would be a resonable price? Let me know what you think.

Here is a pict of some of the work I got done on the wokbutt.

They will come with a matte finish. You guys can do what you want with it. Polish, scotch brite, aluma black, dura coat, powder coat, paint or whatever. If you see some machine marks feel free to sand and polish them out. But I am leaving mine matte.

The mounting plate has come out of the tumbler where it has been for a few days. The shoulder pieces are going to get the corners rounded on my disc sander and then bent to shape. They will then go into the tumbler for a few days.

“Unobtanium” is a very cool material to work with. My last car ran on pure “Turbonium” so I know the feeling.

WOK, your design is so cool, I hope you dont mind if I steal it for a one-off personal build? You get full credit for the concept when its done, and there will be only one. Well… maybe two… I can send you the other part to use as you like. Everybody would just have to understand the parts are “unobtainium”, they are never being made again the mold is destroyed.

I probably wont call it anything fancy, maybe “Carbon fiber shoulder thingy”. 😛

Pics to show you what I mean. Little section of carbon tube will be used to cover the bare machined area, which can be shortened before assembly. Lemme know what you think.

To show the curve is very similar to the Morgan.

To show how I plan to make mine, before trimming, gluing and drilling.

I went through several version for the pistol grip. I finally came up with this design. I dont make them because unless you have a CNC it is a pain to make the grip. A lot of set ups to get it right.
