What fps/fpe do I expect from stock condor with…
Hello all-
I am waiting for my .22 Condor w/24″ to arrive any day now. I will be shooting JSB 18.1g and Kodiak 21.2g.
What is the FPS and FPE should I be expecting from these pellets? I do not have a chrony yet. Assuming my shooting psi is between 2400-3000, also I do not want to go over 1000fps (if it go over) what power setting should I set it to?

Anywhere from 1200 fps to 800 fps depending on where you set your powerwheel.
I’d start at about 1/4 of the way up the PW and see if you get a ‘crack’ when you fire it. Go lower if you do or just start at 0 and raise it a full revolution shoot at pellet and go until you hear a loud crack then turn it down until the crack is gone.
Your going to want to adjust the power for the best accuracy for a given pellet if you don’t have a chrony. 😉
Top hat will no do me noo good if I do not have a chrony. But, when I get a chrony, top hat is a must do (trial and error).
Check under Quick Reference look for top hat adjustment. This is what I did and tuned from there.

At the end of the day, there is no substitution for experience, practice and testing. And testing and more practice and…. did I mention testing and practice? 😎 Oh yea, a Crony is a must and Chairgun helps a lot.
My method of operation to achieve the greatest possible accuracy with my .25 Condor was to start shooting just about every worthy pellet through my Crony, adjusting the top hat and power wheel to achieve, and for no particular reason it just sounded good, a FPS of about 850. I would start each pellet test with a pressure of 2800 PSI.
READ 💡 – Establish a solid base line consistent with each pellet. This is the only way to develop any kind of comparison.
After achieving 850FPS I would shoot 10 pellets at targets 50, 75 and 100 yards (you could start closer or farther away. You got to start somewhere.) for group testing refilling each time after each group. I set the zero on my scope at 50 yards. When shooting to 75 yards I would note how many mil dot hold over I needed at that distance and the same at 100 yards. That way, my
My goal was to establish real world accuracy that I would experience out in the field. At the end of all the tests, I found the Benjamin domed gave me the best all around results. I can’t recall what kind of shot string with minimal deviation but I was getting at least 30 and I am happy with that.
Without a doubt, there were some pellets that I tested that if changed to a different FPS and start pressure would have provided an even greater accuracy, but that will come at a later time. 😉
As far as Chairgun goes, it is a great software package. I especially like the phone app. Very useful. It helped confirm what my testing proved and a great reference tool out in the field.
