…What game can you freeze ?
I’m a fisherman..fish Lake Erie, have a boat, catch perch and walleye all the time.
I know you can freeze Perch and Walleye, and even Catfish they are good for a year or 2 in freezer.
You can’t freeze White Bass/Rock bass or Rainbow Trout, they turn to mush..You catch em, you fridge them and eat them in the next few days.
How about other game…Doves, Squirrel, Rabbit, Pheasant, I would think you could freeze them, but don’t know for sure.

Wonder if u can help me. Do you make main springs and barrel guided hammers? Also I have an American blodnob valve and been having problems with it, the stem snapped again so I sent it back to terry who I believe you know to be fixed, was wondering do u have a spare one availiable? With the valve the center locking collar keeps conning lose is there a better way to keep it locked?

I was told rabbit would keep for keep for up to 2 years.
But i put some in on Friday night and they were dead this morning.
I always do the water freeze method for fish. But foodsavor is great too.
Dont forget that you can presser can fish and all game the boss puts every thing up for me .She dont mind putting every thing up for me and it will last for about ten years or so. But you have to keep it in the dark and cool. I hope that this will help you some

Ahh, I see the error of my ways…
I have always used the Freezer bag with water method. At least thats what I use on Perch and Walleye. Tried the water method on several Rainbow Trout, they turned to mush upon thawing. I re-landscaped the front of house, put in a bunch of new little bushes. Bet I’m the only one to ever throw mush’y rainbow trout under his bushes. But the bushes liked em, they are all growing just fine.
Now I know, no water for Trout/steelhead, whitebass…
Doves, squirrel, rabbit..ect..water method is ok..
I freeze trout, steelhead, salmon, and white bass using the foodsaver. No mush problems.
I swear I have seen frozen trout, even Rainbow (??) that had been previously frozen, so I search the internet and found nothing about the fish turning to mush.
Perhaps you thawed it too fast??? Hmmm..

I use a foodsaver for all game. Lasts a long time in the freezer, without freezer burn. Check them out on Cabelas website, then buy at Costco. 😀

Answer is yes to all of them. I place them in a freezer bag fill of water to stop any freezer burn.
