What gives?
I’m trying to to figure out the shot string on the new .25 set up and new 90 gram hammer. I posted it earlier here ..25=new hammer=WooHoo. Lots’ of views, but virtually no response. ???
Come on Guy’s, I need your help with this! 😉

Ok , find the peak psi charge for peak vel.
shoot gun until vel is greatest , pull tank check psi.
keep gun charged at this psi, try and lower pw a little and see if you can keep vel. below target vel. But not go below the pw setting that was causing you a problem.
If you cant get it down , start lowering t h setting down until the vel. goes were you want it.
Then when you find the settings you want for the peak velocity then play with how much over the peak vel. you want to fill psi to .to allow your shot string to be under peak velocity .
if your worried about the tp hitting the brass behind it then put a oring behing the valve so as to provide a soft stop for th.
I am currently running th at .080 with .071 oring pw 4 keeping 15 grain croosman pel at 950 to 1000 fps. at 2400 psi charge,if i chage over 2400
my start vel is to low.
With pw3 my string starts at 850 and runs up to 990s , with pw4 starts at 930s and runs up to 1030s .for about 40 shots ,20 to 25 up then 20 to 25 back down.
Pw setting below 3 caused low fps reading in strings above 1800 psi charge.
I had th at .035 before with 1800 psi charge keeping vel around 800 to 850fps .for the rws pellets, which would not shoot with peak accuracy above this velocity.
But with a greater than 2000 psi fill i had the low fps reading in shot string.so turned power wheel up to 3 or 4 to do away with the low reading, which caused ,what i think is inconsistency with the th or a bounce off the brass behind it.
This caused my accuracy to deteriorate so i put the o ring in and have not had a problem since.
I have a nice spot now i think but i am trying to fine tune the string by adjusting the charge psi and starting with a higher pw setting then adjusting the pw after a set number of shots to keep vel consistant,
this has worked for me , hope it is useful to you.
