Q:

What is a Tony Tune job ??? HELP

I just got to thinking about this Condor I purchased. The gun is super great and it has been tuned by Tony… What I was thinking is that I have no idea what is done to one of his super shooters other than what I see on his site and I don’t really understand all of that. I just realized I don’t know a darn thing about this gun. All I do is fill it with air and shoot it and take it for granted. Can anyone explain just what all goes into a gun that Tony works over..? It may be too broad of a question. I have tried to read up on it but still don’t really understand.

Proceed with caution… Don’t want to undo anything that’s been done. LoL.

It’s cool. Now I just have to take my gun apart and see if I have any of those fancy parts inside. I am curious as hell… and I just have to find out..lol

Thanks..I can look at pictures and names of things but it sure doesn’t tell you shit… I shouldn’t of even asked the question…………

Somehow I didn’t notice the part where you said you already checked out Tony’s site… sorry bout that…

Got it.. Understand. Thanks again. I have never heard of a 1 piece tophat or why there is such a thing but I really don’t need to know I guess. As long as it shoots well, all is well…

The Condor tanks once they are set you just leave them alone. The stem is so thin if the tophat is adjusted to much it will damage the stem by leaving little dents in side of it.

Once it has been set you just leave it alone. The same really applies for the Talon tank. Once it is set there is no need to adjust it unless a change is made to the hammer, mainspring or valve.

So treat it like a sore pecker…Don’t touch it.

If you have a 1 piece tophat and stem the you are good to go. You never have to adjust them and they are made to the proper size.

Dang if that is just what I wanted to hear. Thanks Adam for making it short and sweet.. I only have one question that could be answered that I would understand. I have a tank and the tophat cannot be adjusted. what is the reason for that and is that something that a custom tune would entail..

Will,

The AF gun as it comes from the factory is decent but not optimized for function. What you have is a machine that has been deburred and polished to remove any excess friction. Your trigger has been adjust to be light but safe. The valve has been optimized by polishing and porting. What is loose has been tightened what is rough has been smoothed and any extra tweak needed was applied to improve the performance.

So now you have a machine that runs smoother and has less of a chance to falter.

That is what he does to these funny black guns.

Thanks..I can look at pictures and names of things but it sure doesn’t tell you shit… I shouldn’t of even asked the question…………

Well, you can always click on his Talon Tunes banner… here’s some stuff.
