Q:

What is the DotSep (@10x) for a Leapers 8-32x scope

Just entering some data into Chairgun Pro and it is asking for the DotSep (@10x)…. currently the data entered is 3.438.

I have a Leapers 8-32x Mil-Dot with Side wheel AO. Can some one tell me the DopSep for this scope?

I got the same number but my range was 10x @ 25 yrd = 1.125″ giving me a DotSep of 4.298

The ROC got to tools/calculators/DotSep MOA/Dot

Then go to “Help” (which is a few over from Tools) and then click on Help
online…

Scope Mil-dot Calibration

(Tools>Calculators>Calculate DotSep)

· Set the magnification at your usual value (10x is the optimum) and
zero the airgun at some defined range – your usual zero range perhaps.
This is the Test Range. Shoot a few shots to get a tight group.

· Aiming at the same point but using the next Mil-dot up or down from
centre, shoot another group. The new group should be an appreciable
distance from the zero group (either higher or lower than the zero group
depending on which Mil-dot you’re using).

· Measure the distance from the original group to the center of the new
group. This is the Vertical Difference.

· In the Tools menu select Calculators and then Calculate DotSep. Enter
the Test Range, measured distance between the groups (Vertical
difference) and the scope magnification. Press the Enter key.

· The actual MOA/Increment figure will be indicated.

· Clicking on the Accept button will replace the existing Scope MOA/Mill-
dot value for the experimental value and the Dots graph will reflect the
change.

All true mil-dot should be the same…..

You just need to ascertain that x10 is your scopes native mag.
