What is the thread on the HPA bottle?
1) Can someone tell me what the thread description is for the male thread on the HPA cylinder (The end that fits into the refill adapter)? Is it 1/2″ BSPP, 3/4″ BSPP, or what?
2) Also, on the refil adapter (picture “a” on the AF site http://www.airforceairguns.com/refilladapter.html ) is the male thread 1/4″ BSPP?
Trying to decide what single-piece fitting to request so that I don’t need the refill adapter… I like to keep things simple.

Also the adapter for a paintball tank with bleed off is pretty cheap. It is called a universal asa on/off adapter.

I believe the male thread is 7/8 x 14 NPS
I have a full, 20lb bulk fill CO2 cylinder from my Match Air Pistol days. I want to refill my own CO2 bottles. The CO2 adapter (and the HPA tank) have the same thread. So I want to start from there.
To refill a CO2 paintball cylinder with CO2 adapter attached, I believe I can attach the OEM CO2 adapter to the standard refill adapter (as done with an HPA refill), then to the CO2 bulk fill tank.
Hence, if I knew the thread dimensions of the CO2 adapter (or HPA bottle valve), I could get to the Bulk fill tank with only one custom fitting. This is preferred for simplicity and safety.
If not available, the alternative is a fitting that accepts the refill adapter. I believe it’s 1/4″ BSPP, but I want to confirm. The custom fitting for my CO2 bulk fill tank would neck down to the complementary female thread accepting the refill adapter. But that requires two fittings (custom + OEM refill adapter).
Everything is OEM except for the Bulk fill fitting.
Does that make better sense?
These are the kind of special fittings your paint ball shop uses to refill your paintball cylinders from the same kind of bulk cylinder I have. I assume if you take your CO2 adapter/bottle to the paintball shop, they can refill it from the CO2 adapter threaded end if they want.
Since I already have the bulk fill system in house, I want to cut out the middleman.
OEM is the simplest.
