What length of barrel fits IN the Condor frame?
I think I want to try a shorty barrel on my Condor. I want it to be flush or just short of the end of the frame so I can use the A.F. end cap and see what kind reduction in noise that gives. Will the 18″ fit in the frame? Or do I need the 12″ ? I know I’ll lose some velocity but that’s ok.

Well here’s what the SS looks like with 18″ barrel and Talon/Condor collar on it. It sticks out about 1/2 inch from the frame, so a 16″ barrel would then be aprox 1 and a 1/2 inches from the stock SS end cap.
Damn I wish I could just shoot my gun like this, just 1/2 inch longer than the stock SS with the barrel ending up almost perfectly flush with the end of the collar, looks perfect, but all the wishing in the world ain’t gonna make it quiet this way lol.
I have said it before and I will say it again. The way my gun is set up is the best of both worlds and is the way AF should have made the Talon to begin with.

How long is the shroud on your setup? Did you have Tony make the the shround and barrel? Also interested in your answer to Shadoh’s question about noise w/ just an endcap. I’m thinking there’s probably only about an inch to an inch and a half between the end of the barral and the endcap in that setup, so it probably adds a fair bit of noise.
Adam, with the 16″ and endcap on is there any noise reduction? How much space is left between the cap and the end of the barrel?
My talon SS WITHOUT the endcap in place sounds almost as loud as my Talon SS with 24″ barrel. In other words, it sounds like a firecracker exploded 5 feet from me, but a more deep tone, like thunder 😛

The TALON SS has a 12″ with end cap. The Talon has 18″ barrel with no cap but a collar.
You can put an 18″ barrel on a Talon SS frame. It will over hang a bit. If you want an endcap I bet someone can turn on for you.
My Talon SS W/16″ barrel is great. The trajectory is flatter and it is easier to stay on target at longer ranges. I wont ever go back to a 12″ barrel. My Talon can even be adjusted to shoot at 650 fps with CP’s on low. It is not as consistent as I want but for up close work it is fine. On PW 6 it punches CP’s out at 950’s. With the shroud it is very quiet.

Adam “your a beautiful person”. So, a Talon SS has a 18″ barrel with end cap???? Right??? Now, next question, who has done side by side comparisons of the two set ups OR who can tell me the difference of shooting your Talon SS with and with out your end cap?
Talon SS and Condor have the same length frame.
Adam, isn’t yours a Talon? I’m talking about a Condor. If yours IS a Condor, then I guess a 18″ is too long and a 12″ too short. Would the 12″ still work with out hitting/clipping the end cap?
I had a 16″ barrel made just for that reason. If I take off the shroud you can put an end cap on.

There is no noise reduction with the end cap on. It is loud as hell.
My shroud is I think 8″ long. It is shorter because I had the barrel cut 2″ shorter. Both were done by Talon tunes.
