This one is for all you people running regulated HPA bottles, What PSI are you running your regulator at?

Thanks for all the replies. I am using CO2 at the moment on my sub 12ftlb gun though its not overly consistent. When it starts cooling down the power drops right off. That and 3000psi air is free for me so I begrudge paying for CO2. The shop I had a look in only had fixed rate regulators but those adjustable ones look perfect thank you.
Use CO2 for lower power. You will have more shots, and it’s already “regulated”. 🙂
This post shows a picture of the inside of a reg and how easy it is to change the output psi to shoot the FPE you want…..Add shims to increase psi output and remove shims to reduce psi output. Just beware that if you increase the output to a higher psi than the burst disc it will blow….Wont hurt anything but it will wake you up…It gives you an idea of the amount of energy we are dealing with and a new appreciation for the affore mentioned.

If I remember, I think the last .177 reg setup I saw was using 1,400psi…I don’t remember the FPS though…
I’ll take a guess at 1200. Wait for in home use I’ll guess at 900.
I do not have a clue what psi you will need for a 177.
mamacrackin has been doing most testing with these setups but using a .22.
depending on your hammer, main spring, valve spring, barrel length…. you will come up with all sorts of numbers.
if you are going to go down this road i would suggest buying an american reg that you can adjust yourself. ask for it to be set at 400psi with enough shimms to take it up to 1800 psi.
that way you can find the best out put for your set up.

Thank for the reply Brutus. It was just a general question as I was interested in what people are using. Though I am thinking of trying such a setup on a .177 SS with the plan of shooting at or under 12ftlb for indoor target shooting.
