Q:

What’s the final weight of your Shorty setup weighing in at?

Just seeing where my fellow Shorty owners guns are weighing in at? Heavy weight, middle weight, or light weight? I understand the bare gun weighs in @ ~6.4 lbs. Please include the total weight of your scope, scope caps, scope rings, a full magazine of “whatever grain” minus 1 pellet fired & a full fill at “whatever” bar. If you have any accessories (John Hagan/Dman LDC adaptor, any LDC’s, bipod adaptors, bubble levels, & wraps) attached to your Shorty, please inform us in your post. Pictures would be great & forum participation would be even better.

Mine includes: Shorty, scope, BC scope caps, steel short qd rings, bubble level, LDC adaptor & cap, composite bipod adaptor, & carbon fiber wrap around the shroud, fill nozzle, & rear of action .
Pellet: JSB 18.1g
Fill: 230 bar
Total weight: 8.2 lbs.

I do not have any scales to weigh my Mutant shorty, Its 1/2 the weight of my Crickets
My best guess,
Miike

Mine weighing in at 8 lb. 3 oz. as shown, 8 lbs. 1 oz. without the additional ldc.

My Shorty filled to 230 bar, 1 magazine w/ no pellets, ldc adaptor, a polycarbonate 3 slot front rail adaptor w/ 2 screws to bolt her in, & some carbon fiber stickers weighing in @ 6.2 lbs…my bare gun must be a sumo weight?…too much sake & sushi fed to the wood?…

I did get the weight of the Shorty @ 6.4 lb off the internet…

Weight is highly dependent on the density of the specific piece of wood used.

Hence he should weigh his mutant without a scope. I’d like to know if his is actually 6.4lbs or if he relied on the internet for that info. If that weight is correct, somehow his shorty weighs almost half a pound heavier than mine and Dman’s. I had thought mutant’s with black stocks are still wood underneath and not full synthetic like say a Cricket (wood vs synthetic). That’s heavy ass wood.

My stock Mutant Short with air, magazine and LDC adapter only weighs 5lbs-15oz. Did you actually weigh yours to be 6.4lbs?
