So… as the title asks, what’s your definition or is it just a figure of speech we use to discribe how accurate an air rifle is but really doesn’t always stack pellets at a greater distance then 20 yards.

we could and did regularly with our old .22rf out to 25 yards.
So for me it is the ability to drive a tack out to a specified distance.

a tack driver is just that- u use it to drive tacks
Well for me it is real world field shooting.
No calm wind, no fancy benches, no pretty wood, just me, my rangefinder, huge .25 pellets, and my .25 Condor.
Stacking pellets on paper gets boring fast now show me 30 ft lbs or more at 100 yards with a puff of feathers or a loud whack of a rodent now you got me smiling.

Exactly what it says. If it can put all rounds on a tac at a desired distance, it’s aTAC Driver.If not, it’s not!
Kinda simple really. 😉

I stacked 3 at 50yds with the Rapid.. Haven’t done it with the EDgun yet but I know I have had 3 touching at 50+yds

Well this is a cherry picked group of course, but the S410 does very close to this every time.
This is 10 shots, 18.1 gr JSB at 920fps.
I have found the sweet zone of this guns fill pressure. Anywhere from shot 5 to 22 will hit almost the exact same spot.
The image is bright because it was scanned on a copier. The grid squares are a quarter inch.
