I am “into knives, air guns and flashlights, thought this post/link might be of some help to those looking at/for a new knife and what steel to get and why-
what steel is it?
Kershaw Chive by Ken Onion, great steel holds an edge, small but comfy in the hand, has a belt clip for keeping it handy at the top of the pocket, and peeles apples as well as it field dresses elk. I cleaned it before i peeled any more apples. 😀
Kershaw 3″ belt clip unit without serations!
workhorse does everything from wire stripping cutting to peeling fruit.
Walter….
A friend went to visit Ken Onion a while back and he gave me a carbon folder that Ken gave him, I like it because it is carbon fiber and sharp as hell…
I get the Pendaflex thing now, boy it only took about ten minutes… 😆

I use the Fenix TK11 R2 also. It’s a 1″ body so it fits in a standard ring if you want to gun mount it. Good for shooting rabbits at 120+ yards I’d guess. Will last a long while on low, 10 or 12 hours. Fenix makes a pressure switch for it also.
I love it! It’s rugged, bright (or not if I choose) Easy to hold onto and turn on/off and is reverse clicky (partial press of switch will momentary turn light on) A little pricey but worth it.
I also have a Fenix TK10, TK40, PD30 and EO1
My favorite flashlight company
And boy I’m I happy about that 😀
LMTSS gave me a one and I love it.
I know nothing about flash lites but I know the Fenix he gave me is bad ass. I have a Gladius coming from Wayne…That should be great as well.

LMTTSS How do you like that fenix light?
Peels apples real good.
ha! i use that one too, pretty sharp, easy to use and keep sharp, a bit fragile, but incredibly cheap to replace, perfect for casual use
also have a little folder with olive wood handles i bought at a local french market a couple of years ago, sandvik steel, real sturdy, for the heavier work
all those benchmade and kershaw knives look really cool and pretty and seem tough enough, but i just can’t justify shelling out that kind of cash for something that i’ll be abusing quite a bit ^^ (paid 40 euros for the french knife)
machette for light work

All I need most days.
Nice how he edits the question to make LMTSS and me look kinda foolish.
😆 😆 😆 😆
My other favourite folder would be the WWII Corsair…
