Are you sure your sights are maxed out in the right direction?

Lowering the rear sight lowers the impact point
Raising the rear sight raises the impact point

It’s a mistake more common than a lot of folks realize.

It is also possible to place a thin “shim” under the rear of the rear sight. This will enable you to raise the point of impact when dialing in your adjustment.

Keep adding shims until the point of impact is where you want it. The shims can be made out of just about anything. A few thousandths of an inch can make a serious difference.

I’m assuming you are keeping your shots within 20 meters.

I owned one of these. I mounted a rod dot scope on it. Have to drill and tap but it’s not that difficult.

Doesnt help other than to let you know probably not worth calling umarex unless you the bending fee is reasonable.

it doesn’t matter what you call it but it does matter if it’s aligned with your barrel and it is does not appear to be aligned with your barrel.

at least, use a straight-edge to check but you should still test by shooting. and then check those set screws.

kglad99, That is not a LDC on the front of gun. That is the front sight
mount that came with the gun.

rob3dr, Do not know . How to find out? on barrel droop.
On the seal leak, load gun,put paper on seam and fire?

By the way it does have a lot of power. If the sights were
not so far off I would shoot it over the crony, but I’m chicken.

I do want to thank you all for your help. 😉

@y,

i think he’ll need to work out something because from his picture, his ldc is not aligned with his barrel. it’s dropping significantly. that may be just photo artifact but it should be tested.

quote kglad99:

also, remove your ldc and retest to see if the ldc is the problem.

Then he wont have a front sight to know… 😀

Is there any noticeable droop on the barrel?

Have you checked for a breech seal leak?

You can check for breech seal leaks by laying a piece of toilet paper over the breech where it locks up and firing.

07Condor22, It has a new piston, and seal. I do not want to kill my Crony

with it. Maybe it needs to be broken in ? Here is a photo
of old piston. It would not cock with this damage.

Thanks for your help,and suggestion.

The P5 has TruGlo sights. It is intended to put the red dot between the 2 green dots, and the pellet will land where the red dot is. That’s how this type of sight works.

You may want to chrony some pellets to check velocity, maybe time for spring or piston seal?
