What would be the cause of….
The bolt not clicking into place when pushed forward?
I had this happen today several times. A couple of the times it would only catch if I pushed the safety back toward me manually. It fired fine but I don’t think it is a good sign.
It’s working fine now but this happened a good 10 times.
Ideas?

Gun functions fine. I’m guessing I put the safety spring on the wrong end of it’s trigger component?

The bar goes on the other side of the spring pressing directly against the bracket, not the spring
Ok….
I just left the shop after putting everything back together and I do mean EVERYTHING.
All I really did was clean the tube and polish, clean all trigger parts and polish with light moly for movement and cleaned and polished the compression spring-especially the ends.
I also added a wrap around grip from one of my old paintball guns to the grip. MUCH Nicer for my big hands.
No Chrony numbers yet. Had to see if it actually worked first. It did…but….
The safety doesn’t work anymore. It’s moving but NOT clicking into place and being…safe?

Thank you for the link Langnasen! I have actually done several tunes on spring guns in the past and have always compiled as much technical info and more importantly, PICTURES before delving in.
I was smart enough to compile lots of “how to” info. as well as pictures of what goes where with my Talon SS as well. Your link however, will be a big help and site to keep as well. THankS!!`

Now that it’s in pieces, any suggestions as to what I should do?
Not much use to you now, but for future reference…draw pictures in a notebook as you take complicated stuff apart. That’s saved my ass on numerous occasions.
For the now, there are images on the net of the trigger assembly, I have some of them saved on my PC. If you can’t find any I’ll post them up (I’d do it now except I’ve just re-installed my OS and haven’t got around to re-installing my FTP program, always a PITA because I can never remember the login details).
Trigger set screws are a great upgrade.

sear between hammer sear and trigger sear, what i call middle sear, it has gotten rounded edges…
this is dangerous….you risk rifle fire when safety is disenganged, and or vibration.
could also be a spring that has jammed a little bit…
too much preload on your hammer…allthough this should not cause it cause then the fault is on the middle sear again
could also be as simple as oil and gunk build up
Probably just some dirt around the hammer , Greg. I get the same thing occasionally, invariably after barreling through dust clouds. Sometimes just a shot of compressed air around the breech and trigger area will clear it up, sometimes it takes more work. Yours being new, it could just be some grit left behind from manufacturing that’s already worked its way out. Later.
