Q:

What would happen if…

You took the condor (or extra weight) weight out of the rifle? What would it do velocity wise? Would the power wheel still have any effect?

Well off the top of my head it would seem that a light weight/heavy spring would be preferable to a heavy weight/light spring. Do you guys think it’s better to smack the top fast and lightly or hit it hard and slow? I’m startin to feel the old .45 Vs. 9mm discussion here lol. Seems like you’d feel the mechanics of the gun less with a light fast Vs. a heavy slow.

Light as you can and fast. More consistant.

If you not testing with a Chrony, your just giving it a WAG=wild ass guess. At best. 😉

Nah, I was just throwing it out there to see what others had experienced. Figured someone somewhere had already walked down that path.

Speaking from an original condor valve and on HPA point of view the velocity went down and the power was erratic.

Well mine has the extra weight and my P.W. will make 21.1 Gr. Kodiaks go from the 600’s to almost 1100 from a 2500Psi fill.

well the power wheel starts to work for one thing!

i have mine set up that way now. i do not have a chrony but i estimate about the same as co2 on a good day. mine is set at pw 4.1, at 6.1 it is a lot faster, at 2.1 it is a lot slower.

sorry i cant be of more help, but i can tell you that even at 4.1 a 16 JSB will nock the snot out of a prairie dog at 75 yards all day long. with a 2000 psi fill i get about 15 very consistent shots and a scuba fill lasts for over 1500 pellets.

hoping to get a chrony in the next few months, if i do i will run some numbers and post back.

steve

You’d turn it into an Edge.

The gun will explode.

It probably wouldn’t open the valve fully and an erratic string would result…

What did I win? 😆

I am sure that has been tried curious on what answers you will get I never tried it myself!
