Ah, V-Max trigger, adj. Down to 1 pound 🙄

The stock is a Houge over molded,
seems pretty nice.
Yeah Lama, a Jewel will probably
go in there sooner or later.
If I get time I will post some better pics

Came with an adjustable trigger, forgot what they called it,I will check it out, and report back.

Did you have trigger work or is it factory stock, my remington 700 SPS Varmint .223 had a terrible trigger from the factory. Was all I could do to pull it. After some work is very crisp now.

Let us know how it shoots?

Sam 😎

Yeah, they aren’t too hard to work on, but it makes a big difference. If you really want it to be good though buy a jewell. 😉

I robbed my Nikko Night eater 4-20 x44 I think off my pellet gun, ahem, the Talon.
I did buy a super duper Tactical Picatanny rail for it with matching mounts, again, Ahem< $200.00 bucks.
I ant to get a decent scope, however gonna try what I have for the time being.
Did I m
mention I also picked up Mini-14 as well as a 870 Tactical 12 GA pistol grip, with a 7 round tube ?
I will post some shots when I get the time, work is on!!!!!!
Gotta pay for all the toys and deal with the bathroom re model here at the SAW ranch.
Full report on all the sh-t coming soon, pics as well

So, let me get this straight…you thought that you were buying a .223 caliber model 700? But it turns out to be a .308? To borrow a phrase, “what we have here is failure to communicate…” Personally, I think that you got the better caliber. I really like .308. But then again it depends on what you are going to use the weapon for.

That is a beautiful rifle. That weapon has, “I’m an accurate rifle” written all over it. I hope that you enjoy your new .308.

I at first wanted a 308, not in stock
then he found a 223, well the 223 sounded good as for I have 2 other rifles in the same.
Well the paper work said 308 and I thought that was it, glad I ended up with 223
cheaper than the 308 x2
Going to the river next week with all my toys
will report back later

Awesome. Heard great things about that rifle.

.223 is a good caliber. I miss having it for the blaser. 😳 I love my new .300 win mag, it is just as accurate with a WHOLE LOT more punch. But you have to really work at shooting it. Very unforgiving, and a little mistake results in a bad shot. The .223 was just easy to shoot. Didn’t take any work, just point and it would take out whatever was in the crosshairs. I still have my groups in my sig. 😯 Only problem I had with it (and the reason I swapped calibers) is at longer range the wind killed it, and it had so little power. Shooting bottles at 500-600 yards and it would just put a hole in it. I wanted them to detonate, hence the big .300 wm. But I think you’ll really like it. Should be a tack driver.

Oh, and get a new stock for it. From what I hear it is the only weak point of the rifle. 😉 And what scope did you put on it?

Crow, take a look at Thompson Center’s Venture series. I had a friend looking for a rifle in the same budget as you, and I found those. Never shot one, but they felt great, good trigger and smooth bolt. Accuracy is supposed to be good as well. Something to look for. 🙂

Looks nice, had extensive trigger time with the .308 caliber in this gun. What type of barrel does it have?

nice saw
im looking to go to gun shop tomorrow
i have around 350 sittin here for a longgun for the season
maybe a shotgun or rifles hmmm
gotta see what catches my eye
