I know what you wanted (PCP) and what you were thinking about to start out with (Nitro piston), what did you settle on?
I know you were asking about buying new, but I’ve had some good luck on used guns.
There is a used Benjamin NP .22 with an upgraded GRTIII trigger and 3-9 Bushnell scope on the AA classifieds.
It is selling for the price of a new stock gun, but this has the trigger work done and they replaced the Centerpoint scope with a Bushnell.
$230 shipped.
I should add.. Pyramyd Air customer support has been good to me and they do offer a 10 for $10 where they test the gun on a chronograph. I choose to buy a lot of stuff from them.
BUT testing springers inside 100-200 rounds is a little pointless as they are burning off their oil.
I’ve know people who return products because they’ve damaged them and lie to the retailer by saying “its fine”. You then receive the “restocked gun” and it wastes a ton of your time testing, tweaking, and ultimately returning.
I’ve been lucky so far but my next gun with be from a tuner that ensures the gun is working correctly without amping it to the point of failure within a few shorts weeks of use.

This is the thing.
The cheaper the price the less service you get and your chance of getting a lemon increases.
You can buy an Airforce air gun from Talon Tunes, Straight Shooters, Mac1 and they will make sure it functions and if good to go.
Places like Pyramid airgun are a crap shoot

Thanks for the link to the review. I assumed this was made in the U.S.A., like some of Crosman’s other guns. I didn’t do the research before I posted 😳

The guns I got used were HW (Made in Germany) and Airforce (U.S.A.)
