Where is the info on the sound report on the the ugly baby?
I have been asking for a few weeks now and still no answers? What do I have to start crackin skulls? I guess it is not quiet that is why all you folks pushing this gun are silent because it’s loud! I will not buy the ugly baby to find out what the sound report actually is. That is like Nancy Pelosis response when asked about Obama Care. “well you gotta pass the Bill to find out what’s in the bill.” To buy a little gun and to have to add a moderator is POINTLESS unless you don’t mind the noise!

Way back when i first saw the mutant i felt the same way about the stock. over time my obsession grew and i just had to get one.
I didn’t really look at at first i sorta just grabbed it and shouldered it…. and smiled..

The look of the ugly baby is growing on me. Still no sound report from video the standard is very quiet from some video’s I have seen the dark brown stock looks best. I saw it in a grey-brown that was sweet.
ok i watched the video, was hoping to hear him shoot it.
but after looking at the shorty in the video, its really not as bad looking after all.
and after reading the posted, of the power range that the gun could make.
25-27 fpe with 40 shots is pretty good, but like oakey i don’t want too make the gun any longer also.
i know guys will want too mod them & thats fine, we all have our own likes.
and i just don’t want a bullpup that may be in line with a p-rod bullpup, in power & noise level.
i really don’t think it will be, i’m just saying.
i’ve made a few bullpups at 20- 22 inches long. and for a short bullpup 22 inches is perfect, i found out also.
also what i like about this gun is that has a reg, the size will be prefect for a short bullpup, &
the trigger will be great, just like the Vulcan trigger.
i do have high hopes for this gun too, but i’ll sit back & read what others will say about it then buy one at that point.

The manufactures specs the shortys at around 25 flbs….. i can’t remember but i think he said 40 shots…. so turn it up some… 850’s with the 18.1s I think it will be fine..

I”m thinking in the 40+ shots range @ 27 fpe after its tuned then I’ll be pleased!
18.1g is the only pellet that shoot great on all my BP—The GO 2 Pellet!
All my guns spit out the 18.1 the most consistently then 15.89 and 13.43 in my condor when I turn it way down with the TT TH inserts. But i would love to shoot 18.1 out of this gun get 20 plus shots and some good power with low noise to nearly no noise.
AG are like tools, let’s say it’s a hammer–this hammer can be of any size and weight I can control the impact for that applications. The impact of a 13g at 450fps is vary less the 650fps, so when I’m plinking or small pest control in a crowded housing area in a state that consider AG as firearms —-> so this is the point in lowering the speed and adding a LDC.
The mutant is the only AG I tuned that you can lower the speed to zero with the stock HS—no preload at all. Sure I Can turned this shorty to shoot 35fpe but some my say it’s “pointless”
My point is I don’t want to add an LDC to this small gun. I don’t want to extend it’s length at all. I don’t mind turning down the power a little but 5lbs of energy at the muzzle that is hilarious to me but too you that may be what you need and you tune them so it is not so much of a hard task for you with your knowledge set. However if I can turn this little ugly baby down easily and use 18.1 or 15.89 or 13 gr pellets by adjusting my hammer spring alone that is good to know and this a selling point. I don’t need the 18.1 grains flying at 925 fps out the mouth of the ugly baby 860fps is great or 820 or 780 will all do just as long as it is quiet and ACCURATE.

and i hope it is shooting faster & more quite, than a p-rod bullpup, also.

you can bring that speed down closer to 690-720 fps with those jsb 13.43 that ugly baby gun should be just about quiet enough for the back yard unless the baffles in that shroud are for naught.

Baby still the quietest gun I own! With a Donnie Screw on holly cow you can hear all the eternal noises. :rofl:
