Which Air Force gun?
Really like the looks of these Air Force guns I currently have a marauder m rod and the P rod wondering which Air Force rifle would be best
thinking 25 for Max power maybe a condor however backyard friendly is very important any pros and cons that you gurus can tell me about
I understand that one gun does not fit all needs based on the other two that I have what do you suggest
I would like to buy the right one the first time
Also any necessary mods any other additional information you could give me would be greatly appreciated

Yes you can make more power with the longer barrel but the op wanted suggestions for a backyard gun that will not disrupt neighbors. So my question is this how big is this back yard and what is the intended target that requires 80 ftlbs for a back yard gun?
Correct me if I’m wrong, for maximum power you want the .25 cal with the longest barrel.
I have a TalonP and out the box it makes something like 50 ft/lbs with the direct flo valve. I put on a 24″ barrel and I think it put out 80 ft/lbs -I don’t have the paper with the velocities in front of me, but I’m pretty sure it was that high.

For paper punching at 100ft a 12″ SS 177 shooting 7gn RWS Match pellets from 1600psi->1000psi for 100 shots.
The 177 mentioned above can really pack a punch using 15.8gn 177 Skenko New Boy Pellets and 2000psi. This makes it a great back yard gun.
More power, more noise, and higher pellet cost for the Condor models.
I am using a 18 inch barrel AND use a lead dust collector-8 inches. It is close to if not completely back yard friendly. Also, have a back stop made with duct seal.. I was ask only one time (what I was that odd noise? My answer _ using a tack gun. His reply_ that is what I thought. And yes it will drive Tacks on myside of the house 25yd range. Gate to wall, or 75 feet. Total shots exceed 8000. I made a 22 inch .22 cal setup, added the 8 in LCD. Too long to carry Too heavy hold. SO back to the 18, have barrel in .22 cal and .25 cal. Happy as hell, driving a # 6 tack one in three shots. What ever you set up*** have a fine day, or night. One more thing__ look at owning a crony.

Maybe i am filling in the blanks here but when someone says it needs to be back yard friendly my opinion is a 24″ condor .25 is overkill. If it has to be backyard friendly i am guessing there is not allot of space and if you need/ want a quiet .25 then get the condor ss in .25 and save that extra length and power that is not needed. The condor .25 ss has enough power for a backyard unless you have an over population of rhino 
By getting the ss it will already be really quiet and if you want you could add a moderator to it and have an almost silent condor.
Get a condor with one of Tony’s shrouds.. Very quiet !!!
I don’t know cause I have never asked but it is a 12 1/2 in. barrel, I guess, I was suppose to do some measuring for R and L, but just kept shootin and pumb forgot about it. Old timers is really giving me the slip lately. Sometimes I just wish I knew what the hell is going on.

I prefer the short, Talon SS, of course, with all the bells and whisles WalkOnKing offers, and a Dyotat100 valve. Now if I can ever find a shroud, in .25, for it. Then I’ll be in Heaven!!
I love my condor in .25 that i got from tony at talontunes> adjustable top hat,shroud and the goodies from wok and not to forget jerrys slugs.
heavier pellets can help keep the speed down and provide more power at the same time. I shoot 21gr pellets and it is a little quiter than 14gr which break the sound barrier and generate a loud snap like a powder burner.
I’ll third that. Just for fun, and to see how loud it really was, I pulled the end cap of one of my Talon SS’ one afternoon. It’s a 22 right now, and it sounded like an actual 22 powder burner even with the short 12″ barrel. I would also suggest Talon tunes, and maybe considering what you currently have the Condor SS in 25 if you want to hunt with it, and a short shroud to make it even quieter. That combo would be a hammer, and you will get far more shots per fill than the M-Rod. I have one (M-Rod) in 25 and getting just 16 shots per fill kinda bites for me, when I can shoot 30-40 from my Talon in 25 cal from a single fill. Just my thoughts, and if you want maximum power go for the full on Condor with the 24″ barrel and a long shroud to keep it neighbor and ear friendly.

I’ll second that notion I’ve used my .25 with a 24″ barrel without the shroud and it honestly is loud. A lot louder than I had expected (the neighbor up at our cabin thought I was firing a regular gun 😀 )

If you’re going to spend the money on a Airforce gun, buy a 24″ Condor .25 and don’t look back! I’m not sure I would want a SS model though but that’s just my personal taste ,
All the airforce guns are going to be loud out of the box and are going to require a tube attached to quite any of them down.
I know for sure a one piece top hat did wonders for my gun and wokbutt and the wok trigger is a must! I have a R&L Shroud attached to mine, It knocks out the 22.LR sound. but is still not backyard friendly in my backyard but I’m using a heavy hammer with the power wheel set to zero and still
It all boils down to this, buying the most powerful Airforce gun, makes sense, you can always tune it down to your taste and still have a gun you can be turned up to really spit out the lead. plus, you can change calibers with ease, very versatile gun!
All I know is, I’m very happy with my Condor and she is deadly accurate! :4:
