which is more accurate .25 long or standard
hi guys
there are some users who as per their experience claim that .25 long is more accurate than the standard because of difference in rate of twist. wonder if it’s so.

A longer barrel is for more power not for better accuracy.
The only situation where a longer barrel will give better accuracy at longer ranges is if the gun has open sights (longer sight-line, easier to aim).
Obviously what said with the IMHO clause.
Yes agreed. what I feel is that a .25 slightly recoils and a bullpup being lighter in weight may be difficult to shoot accurately. The long version is a bit heavier that might be helping with the accuracy. what do you say ?

I say yes the weight could help and a short one would be harder to hold steady, like the Vulcan owners are realizing.

The only true way to test accuracy is to clamp both guns. In the long it takes a split second longer to exit the barrel so human error can become the deciding factor.
A .25 shorty with larger eccentric shroud making it the same sound as a .22 shorty would be a good seller. What I notice however is with .25 and larger calibers some still want a longer bullpup which defeats the sole purpose of owning a BP in the first place. Wtf is the benefit of a 35″+ BP? Might as well get a rifle and hold it steady.
My standard .22 and .25 both have a 410mm ROT. Maybe Ed can come on and confirm if he changes the twist for the long. I do not believe the long to be more accurate. I have not seen any evidence of such a claim. My suggestion would be to listen to the maker. If you have seen that video clip then you already have the answer.
rumour has it, ed will be doing a 0.25 short, i wonder how the accuracy of this will compare?
yes have seen that clip by Ed, but is the rate of twist different on the long as compared to standard
Some tests at JSB factory revealed that long is more accurate. However, the gun was clamped then.
