Thanks so much! I went to Academy and got what I needed. I think this will work for my needs. I have a raccoon problem that needs attention. My scope will not do for such close in work.

Thanks again, Bruce

Correct. The mount that comes with the BSA is too high.

The daisy red sight has a mount that you can remove, flip upside down, and mount the BSA virtually on the rail. I removed the BSA logo and the whole setup looks pretty good. I don’t use the pressure switch as it gets in the way and I only need the laser for unusual shots or for ranging finding new distances.

I’m confused by the quote. Is it saying to use the Daisy mount with the BSA laser?

I decided to go cheap on this because its a close shot. A 1 degree error isn’t much at 5-15 ft. You can buy the parts at Academy. I can even use the laser as a range finder if you set it up with your mil-dots accordingly.

Things I liked:Powerful enough to designate a shaded fence in full sunshine. Great value for money.

Things I would have changed:The mount is too high and maybe the adjustments could have more stiffness. It hasn’t shifted on my PCP not sure about a springer.

What others should know:To fix the mount buy a “Daisy Electronic Point Sight” and remove its dovetail adapter, flip it over, and mount this laser to your gun for a bore hugging accurate sight. The closer to the bore the less POI shift as you change distance.

PS. I added blue Loctite to the adjustment screws by opening and closing the adjustment with a bubble of Loctite on them. Brass sets in 20 mins to full strength so get yourself sorted out fairly quickly. That helps with the lack of friction on those little screws. You can adjust after and the Loctite has set and still maintain enhanced friction after your break the bond.
