Q:

Which oil for Tuxing Compressor?

Which oil seems to be working good in the compressors? The video says to use motor oil but not doing that. I was thinking of trying the same oil my other compressor uses. Ingersoll rand oil (all season) cant find much info on what it is made from. I looking for a oil I do not have to order over the internet also.

Thanks

Yup … that’s the stuff. It is a bit expensive ($64.95 per gallon suggested. retail) but well worth it.

thanks you!

While I sell Coltri and Bauer compressors, I have also serviced a BUNCH of other high pressure compressors and we have used nothing but the 751 synthetic compressor oil. It is a great lubricant and, more importantly, it resists carboning and foaming.

Do you have a link for that oil?

thanks

Red, I read somewhere that the best oil to use is the same oil that the breathing air scuba compressors use. It even had that listed on one of the chinese compressors I looked at. The reason to use this is that regular oil could cause dieseling which causes carbon build up causing the compressor to break down. At least that is what I read and is the oil I will be using if I order one.
