Q:

Which pellet for Cricket .25 ?

What pellet do you find the most accurate for your .25 Crickets ? JSB King´s, Benjamins, H&N Baracuda´s. I´ll have my new “Bug” in a weeks time and it´s time to order some food for it. I´ve always had good results with JSB (both with my HW and EdGun) so i quess i can´t go wrong with those but just to be sure i´d appreciate some info from those who have already tested different pellets. Thanks in advance !!

Nice! Unfortunately it doesn´t adress the biggest problem : The flimsy threaded plastic cap that will tear itself apart in extended usage. A much cleaner solution than Uncle H 😯 😯 T´s cut down roof nail but you have to remember the man is from the mountains and has to make do with stuff at hand .. :3:

quote Hoot:

“Is there anywhere to buy a Cricket HST and spring support without getting screwed?

I managed to run into a guy on the yellow that just so happened to be curious about making one of these for the cricket. He is getting a cricket and wanted to make a better HST. I talked to him a little bit and gave him some dimensions and he spun one up for me and made it out of derlin. This little piece sits on the hammer side, not on the adjustment side. The sound when you cock the rifle is an unbelievable night and day difference, no longer do you listen to a spring stress as you lock the bolt to the rear. I’m currently shooting 970’s with Kings and getting damn good accuracy at 50 yards with this little mod. I will text him and see if he would be interested in making another. He made mine for real cheap so I might be able to pass the savings on you too if your interested. Just remember that these are a beta model and not a mass produced item just yet. I have been the Test and Evaluation guy for the person who made this piece so design modification can always be suggested. We are working on a sleeve type that will support both the inside and outside of the spring to make it a captive system.

HOOT you are one crazy guy 😯 I did not realize how much I missed this sight while off in the mountians.

Dearest Uncle!
I will , of course , keep you posted – whether thru message in a bottle while at seas – or thru smoke signals if i happen to get stranded on some tiny Island by the Swedish coast line.
I´m afraid the good old profession of prostitution is illegal in Sweden and will get you heavily fined or locked up in jail . Much like a marriage if you think about it. And you´re , as always , correct about the 95% VAT too – except the fact about the water we piss : The golden shower is taxed with 98% VAT during weekdays. Give or take a percent for weekends and holidays. 😯

I understand my boy! A guy needs his pleasures. Friggin Germans…

Is prostitution legal in Sweden…or do you need a prescription? You guys take home perhaps 5% of your pay, and cough up something like 95% VAT tax on everything, but the water you piss.

While women can take the physical necessities of a man’s life or leave it, with most preferring to leave it, shortly after marriage, medical science has since proven a man, denied a regular release of his built up vital bodily fluids, begins a gradual deterioration and slow rot, mentally and physically. Eventually he will develop tapeworms, baldness, insanity, GERD, poverty, and chronic tina pedis (athlete’s foot).

Those of us who are able to endure the unendurable, eventually end up pretty much the same. The end days of elderly men’s lives generally have the same quiet lament to whatever deity, or pagan object from whom they once sought guidance…which simply states: “I gladly await the hour of my death, knowing it is the only true and lasting relief from the laser-eyed, razor-edged tongues, and Arctic emotional chills, projected upon my bent shoulders, by the evil and demonic women, with fused knees, who reside in my miserable life!” (Amen)

It’s a hard life…it takes a hard man to endure it.

Up your dosage of Fish Shots! Keep me posted regarding any change.

Dearest Uncle!
I´m deeply moved and somewhat misty eyed over the concern you show for a fellow forum brother. I was on my way to book that river cruise when i realized that the river Elbe is located in Germany and the Germans don´t like foreign nutcases overcrowding their much liked “cruise ships”.
What´s a poor man to do then ? I´m considering a small scale cruise ,alone on a Zodiac, and a bottle of Fish Shots to clear my mind but i´ll do this on our coastal region rather than on any river. Why you ask ? Cod , my favorite fish , doesn´t thrive on sweet water and being a Scandinavian i´d never consider a day without fresh, newly hand catched Cod eaten raw and uncut. Flushed down with Fish Shots – preferably with that minthy flavor.

No. It’s even worse than I originally thought. His mind is almost totally gone, and he’s in “Denial”.

He obviously purchased two (2) bulk lots of 350 tins of JSB pellets, resulting in 140,000 pellets to “try out”.

The poor man has gone bonkers. He is to be pitied, and forum members should send him cards to speed his recovery to sanity.

There are only three reasons a man takes such unusual actions…eating contaminated fish, over indulgence of “Swedish Fish Shots”, and holding followup shot pellets in his mouth for fast access!

I’m increasing my original prescription to 2500 Euros, more wine, and a long river cruise on a Swedish psychiatric, river cruise boat. stationed on the Elbe river.

Poor fool. Likely to have added lead poisoning to the mercury levels he suffers from. Cutting back on those Fish Shots wouldn’t hurt either!

Vile…you simple-minded swine, you must trust me as never before!!!

With grave concern,

Prreeeeeeettty sure he means 2 x 350 pellets = 700 pellets total 😉

BINGO ! :6:

O.K. I got two 350 tins of JSB Kings to try out and i bought one 200 tin of Benjamin Domed too. The cost is far from comparable though – the Benjamins are far more expensive over here. It doesn´t matter though since i just want to find the best pellet for that gun.

My dear Vile…

One does not “try out” 350 tins of pellets. That would be to damn the phrase “try out” with faint praise! To shoot 70,000 pellets in order to obtain an opinion, would infer you possess the intelligence of a Chicago Democrat, or, possibly higher, that of a common garden slug.

Being of a Scandinavian blood line, unless you have been consuming excessive quantities of pelagic apex predator fish, such as the mercury-laden Blue Tuna, or perhaps the flesh of the similarily contaminated Swordfish, we expect a bit more, intellectually, from you!

Now, listen carefully, take 100 Euros out of petty cash, and buy yourself a decent whore, a nice bottle of wine, and clear your mind. Also, show us you are a real man, and keep the receipts to show your wife, so she knows where her curtain money went!

Trust me in this matter, and your life will never be the same.

Dearest Uncle!

Although i´m aware of things that may/will happen to a man when he reaches certain age (confusion and loss of the ability to think quick) it amazes me that a distinct gentleman – like yourself – wasn´t able to count out that i meant two tins, 350 pellets each. This in turn translates , using simple but effective Scandinavian way doing math, into 700 pellets total. I´d , gladly , take out 100 Euros and pay for a decent whore and a bottle of wine but with these Swedish alcohol taxes i can only afford one of them since those pesky 700 pellets already put a deep dent into my bank account. So either pellets and a whore or a whore and a bottle OR a bottle and pellets. Decisions, decisions Dear Uncle …

Prreeeeeeettty sure he means 2 x 350 pellets = 700 pellets total 😉

I posted on that one for a Cricket and a good HST adjuster. 😛 I ordered the his Edgun part. I had already ordered the BF plug and should see it soon although we have a good and cheap substitute from Home Depot.

Amen! Do you hear Lyndon ?? Add that to your list for modified parts for EdGuns & Crickets. 😎

No – they just fall through on the .22. Definitely need a single shot tray for the Crickets.

Thanks! I´ll try them too. Just not sure about the loading – i don´t think the mag will work with them Preators.
