Q:

which scope for Lelya?

Hi all,

I placed an order for the Lelya and since there is some waiting involved, I figured I would investigate possible scopes for her.

Whats out there that will fit us both (Me and Lelya)?
I’m thinking:

*light & compact,
*parallax adjustment from 30 yards/meters (or less),
*a fine ballistic reticle (half-mil-dot preferred),
*target turrets,
*MRAD,
*max price 1k USD

I would be happy with a fixed zoom scope or a variable power, doesnt matter as long as image is clear.

So do we have any scope experts on the TAG? 🙂

Thanks, Q

I run Leupold EFR 3-9 Rimfire on my Lelya.

Love it. Light, Bright and Duplex doesnt bother me at all.

But you can get that scope from Leupold Custom Shop with MilDot reticle.

I looked at getting one of these in mil dot and Leupold told me they couldnt fit the mil dot ret in this model ???????

Someone had one that has zero eye relief (or very little eye relief). It is likely somewhat expensive but I think it would be the best choice.

I think it was the guy who did the tactical Lelya mod.

yes that was me, I tried hard to find the right scope, I think with the Lelya cheek weld and parallax are a real problem and the only scope I found that worked consistantly was the MTC Viper Connect with parallax error essentially removed by the zero eye relief

Then it was the Viper Connect . It´s a special scope with almost no eye relief. Try that one on a thirty caliber something powderburner sporter if you dare ! 😀

And no – MTC´s aren´t expensive. Mine cost around 200$ over here. These scopes are superb for the price and have a lifetime warranty. All of them are magnum springer approved too so rugged scopes to boot. I´ll have one MTC Genesis for my .17 HMR – liked them that much.

I´ve found a real good scope for my R3 and it´s an UK brand MTC Viper 10×44 fixed. 30mm tube. Can.of course, be bought with different/variable mag too. The SCB (small caliber ballistic) reticle is marvellus, the optics are superb for the price, the turrets are really good and the parallax adjustment is spot on. It isn´t a real lightweight though but it´s quite compact.
