i always buy simmons, not the chineese versions

model depends on what you going to use it for

well that 8×25 hawk is a really good deal, but if i am going to have 8 power on the bottom end i want 32x on the top.

and the 6x 20 i am giving up 4x, so i would rather have the 6×24, so i guess i will Waite

🙄 🙄

I have leapers and barska on my air guns and one air force scope,Hawke is where im headed, none of the ones i have are side wheels that would be nice, the one im looking at is a Hawke HK 4034 Item number:180764635062 its on ebay for $224. free shipping ive been going to buy it for awhile now, waiting till after xmas..Now on my AR I have a ATN nite vision scope but we are talking a serious animal there..
here is my daystate with the Leapers 6x24x50 on an airgun as well as any rifle i like big powerful scopes mil dots are a must..

😀

now this would look good on the condor.

i am not really worried about it not being good quality , i just dont know exzactly what i want, i was really liking the 6 x 24 but it’s not onsale 😕

that 8 x 25 is lookin pretty good, looking for rings for it , dont see any on that site.

Powder – Listen…. It’s three hunded thirty dollars….. That’s darn cheap for a Hawke 25 power 1/2 mil dot scope. (step up from the one that Ted uses)
8.5 minimum power is perfect low power. I use a 3-9×32 turned to 9 power at the 10 meter indoor range.

Your field of view on minimum power is only 4 feet less than the 20x and barely a foot less at 100 yards.

I was hoping you’d take mine ’cause I would be mounting my new Hawke Optics Sidewinder 30 Tactical 8.5-25×42 Rifle Scope in Matte Black – HK4030 this weekend. 😆

Hawke is an excellent brand. You can’t get hurt. (unless Mrs. Powderburner thumps you with it.) 😆

Look at it this way…… You spend let’s say a couple of Benjamin’s (not pellets, by the way) on a different scope, Heaven forbid three long ones, and you’re not happy with it….wish you’d bought the HK4030…..Now you’ve got unload XYZ scope……probably lose a little money on it to get out from underneath it….and go looking for the HK4030…..WAM!! BAM!! HOLY RETICULE BATMAN!! THE PRICE WENT UP 75 CLAMS!! how pissed are you gonna be now..?

Tell ya what…. If you get the HK4030 and you are not 100% happy with it by 12/31/2011, I’ll give you $331.00 shipped for it, that’s how sure I am you’ll be happy (thrilled) with it.

You’ve got my word on it, and my word is good.. just ask the TAG members I’ve bought stuff from….

SAW (bought the Diana from him)

HOOT misc stuff (where’s he been, anyway?)

SYNOPSYS (Izzy 46M just this weekend)

Go HK4030. Just sayin’……

😆

I really like the Hawke HK4012 or HK4014 😀

wow that scope is 440 on amazon and 499 on hawk sight , damn, that’s 8 x for the bottom end, a little too much but a good deal!!

ARRRRGGHHH!

decisions decisions

Spend the extra $13.00. Go big…..or go home. 😆

You won’t regret it. And if you do, let me know. I might have a rifle I could put it on.

Hawke Optics Sidewinder 30 Tactical 8.5-25×42 Rifle Scope in Matte Black – HK4030

I want 24x , but at least 20x ,i would go with even more but i dont want to too far away from the lowest power, because i do shoot at 30′ too.so the 20 or 24 x is about all i can go.

This is the one I’ve got on my M-Rod.

I’d take $275 (TAG members only) shipped in the factory box, 2″ side wheel, (not the large one) sunshade (just like I got it new) and even thow in a set of 4-bolt UTG rings. It has a tiny mark on the bell. If you want pics of the one mounted on the rifle, I can send you some.

Bounce it off some of the other guys if you’d like.

Dave

Wel AGT thats exzactly what i am looking for , some one that has used them, i have been reading about these differant scopes for like 2 years , and havent been able to make up my mind , and the Hawk is on sale for 319 so i was basically trying to make up my mind if i wated to jump, i shoot the condor more than all my other rifles put together so it just makes sense to get a nice scope,

I really wanted 24 x , i must have mil dot and i really like the 1/2 mil with hollow bar,and the side paralax is just cool!!

so really i prob should just get it, i have been shooting a 4×12 BSA, that has bad wash out when the sun is in front of you, but it’s pretty clear and has target knobs and paralx adjust up front , around a 100 doller scope.

ARRGGHHH!!!!

I know what i want , but it’s 1000,00 bucks and that not happening any time soon 😀

Powder – I’m no means any kind of scope expert, but the based on the scopes I’ve used and the scopes I have now…..

I’ve got the Hawke scope mounted on my .22 Mrod and a 6-24×56 Nikko Nighteater on my .25 Condor and a 4-16×44 Leapers on my son’s.22 Condor. (And lower end scopes on my indoor stuff and backyard shooters)

I’ve had BSA’s as well. My BSA 6-24×56 was way toooooo heavy to mount up high on the tri-rail on the Condor. I was constantly fighting the rifle to keep it level.

I LOVE my hawke. It’s so clear that I have to LOOK for the reticule. My Nikko runs a very close second, but eye relief becomes very tight at higher power and the clarity starts to diminish. But by the same token, the Leapers 4-16×44 on my son’s .22 is an excellent scope, the reticule is just a little too thick.

I’ve bought and sold several scopes on the “other” forum. This might be a good way of finding one you like.

Ultimately, If I can pick up another Hawke Tactical on the cheap, I’d replace my Nikko.

With that being said, don’t go on what I say; listen to the experts. You guys know who you are, so don’t be shy. Let’s hear what you’re using. 😆
