Q:

Which Texan would you prefer of the two calibers

Hi , I am looking into getting a Texan in either a 308 or 357 caliber . I have never shot or know of anyone of my friends that has shot one . I am looking to see which of the two calibers tend to be more accurate than the other or are they the same stock . Also the availability of ammo . Which caliber has the better choice of ammo that is out there or are both equal in that area . My use of the gun would be for target shooting and hunting game under the size of white tailed deer to woodchuck and coyotes

Texan

I have Texan barrel shrouds.
I also have .357 and .257 Texan and .308 TexanSS
In stock…

Texan SS

I vote 357, just in case you want to try bigger game.

How is the stock 308 Texan out of the box ? With the right ammo is it accurate stock or do you need to do a few things to make it accurate? Does tony make a shrouded barrel like the Texan SS to quiet it down ?

I’d go .308. All the bullet molds available.
