Who can turn a barrel blank?
I screwed around and worked a deal for a .25 LW polygonal barrel blank. Since I’ve got a valve/hammer system on the way for my TSS that’ll drive it, I figured, I’d try to wring as much ooomph outa the rifle as possible. My question is how should I go about getting the barrel turned and bushings made for it. I have the stock bushings from the little 12″ bbl. Should I let the barrel turner open them up to the .630″ O.D. of the new bbl, or just have new ones made all over?
I suspect I need to call Tony and be done with it, but I wanna get the barrel in my possession before I do. Can’t help wondering if that polygonal rifling will make any difference, though.

Try posting it on the Yellow forums or here. There are plenty guys with a Condor who would love a 12″ barrel or guys with 12″ .177’s that might wanna try .22. It will sell.
Thanks. I’d sorta considered that option, but I can guarantee that I’ll never use the 12″ barrel again, and I’m not sure how much market there is for it. It seems that everyone got on and are only too anxious to add a longer barrel to their collections. I’m sort of gravitating toward having new ones made and professionall installed, though. Just so I know they’re in the right place. We’ll see what happens once I get the 24″ barrel in my hands.
Have new ones made. That way you can either sell the 12″ easily or you can switch barrels.

My heavy .22 barrel which is 24″ long, came with aluminum bushings. This barrel is .630″ OD for its entire length. It came from Airhog, so I’m not sure if it’s their barrel or a stock Air Force item. The aluminum bushings from this barrel will fit your LW barrel, so you might want to just call Air Hog to see if they will sell you a pair of alum bushings, they should fit just fine.
If you want to just cut your existing bushings open, be sure if the size you want and send them to me, I’ll machine them to size and send back. You pay shipping both ways. No charge for the work, glad to help out people on this list.
