Q:

Who made the first Bullpup Air Rifle?

Just wondering…

Who made the first PCP Bullpup?

Was it Ed with the EDgun in 2002, Hooligun or Demyan?

Has the product design been patented?

Thanks!

Some of the early Skans were bulpups, its a shame they didn’t evolve the design, not that Im complaining I love the m32/r32’s 😈

JJ.. 🙂

The Skan has the magazine system (not fitted on mine) just behind the trigger ,above the line of the air feed, the working parts are secured to the trigger group and the whole unit cycles front to rear to reload and fire. This has a 32 shot double stack rotary magazine.

The definition of a bullpup is the action is mounted behind the trigger… 😉

Great work as usual Ed!! Reminds me of when I built my first full suspension mountain bike frame in the early 90’s from scratch!

Looks like AF used the SKAN as their idea base. The AF is nearly an exact copy but thinner and longer.

I don’t know if this is considered to be a bullpup but SKAN air rifles have been produced for 20+ years.

I don’t insist but it seems to me the main feature of the bulpup is the fact that the barrel is closer to the shooters shoulder then in the ordinary rifle.

I don’t know if this is considered to be a bullpup but SKAN air rifles have been produced for 20+ years.

Hey Ed…. a few months ago I had asked about the evolution of the EDGUN..
This is EXACTLY what I was looking for…. I think it is amazing to see the evolution of a product….

Yes! This is what I was trying to find for you, Mark. I’ll just save the darn page this time…

Man, that stock was ugly! 😆

😀

That’s cool

If you want to ask about Russians, I was the first one 🙂 with this ugly one:

then Demyan made its T4, I think either in 2005 or in 2006, then Hooligun (in fact both of them was created by Dmitry Torkhov, who works now in the other weapon compeny and made new PCP gun “Jager”).
