Q:

Who runs a regulated setup on their Talon/SS/Condor

Just a poll to see how many out there are using a regulator.
Is it beneficial enough to make it worth it?

12″ .22 cal barrel at 10 yards so add about 30fps to everything.
Etac/Jds Standard 490cc tank..

60 shots

The fps drops after 50shots, so The below is just the first 50 shots.I don’t know what happened to shot 21 784fps..I figured a bad pellet or I loaded upside down, so to keep things fair, I changed it to 811fps..the above average.

min 797 max 828 average 814 sd 5.2

My normal setup is a .25 cal at 900, I figure 40 shots.

It WAS worth it for me!

I don’t, but I do use a high flow valve purchased from TT. With the addition of an O-ring behind the tophat, some have said it has a similar affect as a regulated one to some degree.

JDS with modified Etac-reg setup. As far as I know you have to use a Etac-reg. 134 shots on 62ci tank, .25 JSB’s avg 907 fps with 1500 psi reg. 1800 psi shoots same pellet around 965 fps.

I understand the benefits to be gained by going to a regulated setup but how much benefit is there over stock?
Also what setup do you use? I am looking at the JDS or Xpert HPA not sure if i want to look into the E-tacreg additionally for the JDS

Yes if you want your gun to shoot close to the same fps everytime. I have 4 regs and a 4500 to 2800 psi Coming tomorrow.
