Who said springers are inaccurate?
Gotta love Air Arms. This is a .22 TX200MKIII at 30 yards which is my zero. No wind, 94 Degrees. Best pellet: FTS running at 18.5 FPE. Scope -Bushy Legend. Groups are 1/4″ My best group with .20 R9 was just a bit under 1/2″ at the same distance. TX beats it.
This will likely take me out to 80 yards on a good day. I still remember that pigeon that got nailed at 74 yards few months ago. All I did today is changed my zero. Still need to find some time to play with mildots at longer ranges.

Few weeks ago went to the friend’s 6000 acre property today with my .20 R9. I wanted to zero R9 at 30 yards and then shoot targets and blast away mini soda cans at 40, 50, and 60 yards. The rifle, FTS ammo, and Swift scope with a duplex reticule delivered the goods at 30 yards no problem. The best group I could manage was under half of an inch.
Then I saw a dozen of crows laughing at my hobby, they were really anal about my presence. They went on the other side of the river, definitely out of range. So I went all the way around very slowly to the bridge, and when I got within 70 yards or so, they took off never to be seen again. Here is the view of other side, but you can’t see them on the photo.
So I went back to my range and continued with my fun. Sniping mini soda cans at 60 yards was as easy as shooting 1/2″ groups at 30 yards. Just, next time I will have to bring some tent because this Texas heat
is a b!$%&!
Zeroed at 30 yards, the drop is 1″ at 40 yards. At 60 yards I have to use the top of the thick post to make a hit. I think I’ll stop right here at 60 yards with this gun/scope combo…
Thanks.
