Who uses a bipod and or sling on their EDguns?
This is a continuation of the post from yesterday afternoon/evening, for whatever reason, was eliminated when the forum site went down temporarily.
I like the idea that the bipod attaches to sling stud thus providing fast on/off of attachment. Hoot you mentioned having a sling. Where do you attach sling to butt of gun? Do you use sling that is hooped at one end as to wrap around end of butt stock or do you have a sling stud mounted to butt stock. I guess the question I’m trying to get to is, how are you and others attaching the sling to the Edguns and if using sling studs where in the butt stock are you locating them at. Any pictures out there. Myself I don’t want to place a sling stud on the bottom of the butt stock in fear that in would inter fear with shooting the gun from a bench position. The front sling stud is not a problem.
If comparing the Caldwell bipod to the Harris bipod (6”-9”) what are the pros and cons. It would seem from my readings that the Harris bipods are more popular and most mentioned bipod. I noted that Hoot uses a 6-9’’ Caldwell connected to front sling stud that has a built in sling mount. I will be ordering a bipod in very near future and I find it imperative that whichever brand I choose must have a means for a sling to be mounted to. Does the Harris also have this feature?
I know the EDguns are compact and light but there are times I wish I had them slung over my shoulder for the convenience of having my hands free. Any and all thoughts and experience are much appreciated.
