why a talon ss???
Tell me why I need a Talon SS?
I just bought a condor a month or so ago. I have the pump and a scuba tank with fill adapter on the way. I want something mellower for squirrels in my residential back yard. My condor is pretty quiet but I am worried even dialed down it may be a little much for my back yard. I like the .22 so would probably get another one because pellets would be easy to keep stock and track of if same. I also like .22 for knock out power. I am thinking I already bought alot of crap for my condor why not get a talon ss? My other choices would be a cheaper hand pump or something for pest control. I need a couple good resons to push me over the edge. LOL

I know, I know I have two safes full of powder bruners for the same reasons. Well this one is better at tha than this one, oh yea I need that because thats between that one and the other one. Same reason I have 4 12guage shotguns, turkey deer coyote and bird guns. would one 12 guage work hell yea but how much better is it to have 4. LOL
Is there much noise difference between .177 and .22?
I really like the power of the .22 once I shot one I never looked back.
The .22 seems to anchor squirrels much better for me.

That reminds me…a friend of mine’s wife was flirting w/me one night @ a company party. Yup…TalonSS is the way to go for back yard plinking and ‘vaccinating’ unwanted pests 😉

A month ago I had neither. Having shot around with my TT Talon that I picked up off the For Sale page I got a sense for how capable these rifles are. I want to be able to toss .25s at some of my larger pests with an exclamation point. I just spontaneously splurged on a Condor (For Sale page again) to have that flexibility. I had been thinking to get my Talon set up with the Hi-Flow gear but I really like having the .22 handy as opportunity knocks but doesn’t always hang around. I think a nightvision scope is in my future as well.
I’m a hunter and so also have several powderburners for the exact same reason. Deer rifle, Elk rifle, big bird shot gun, blackpowder rifle, a few handguns. Each has a purpose. Hell- I’ve got knives to match them. I must be some kinda redneck! (Yes I do have a confederate cowboy hat)
When I say close range its under 25 yards no matter what. I was thinking it would be better than trying to tone down the condor. that looks like a cool rifle.
Because you will shoot it 10x more then your Condor, that is why. Sure guys with Condors like to pull them out and show everyone their big balls. But for most shooters it is too loud, too long and to powerful for urban maneuvers.
The Talon SS is short and tight, quiet and powerful. Out to 50 yds it is a no brainer at 70yds more shooting savy is needed. But around the house and for good pest control and fun the SS is hard to beat.
Put some baffles in it and get a Wokbutt and you have a nice gun to shoot. This is what my Talon SS use to look like and it was bad ass.
