Why a Vulcan Bpup cal .22 is better than .25
The only reason I could think of, really, is the cost of pellets.
Anything else I missed? Please enlighten me.

A lot of people who have tried .177 .22 and .25 seems to go back to .22 they say it is the ultimate alround caliber. That has to Count for something.
Also Noise, the .25 is louder

A .22 or .25 Vulcan is a personal caliber choice for what effects you are looking for in the type of shooting you are doing . For me
and the results that I want for shooting and killing pests both calibers will work . However , I prefer shooting a .25 caliber over the
.22 caliber .Even though I have killed a yote at close range with a .22 pellet a .25 pellet will take down larger critters easier . Go
ahead and call me a sick puppy because I really like to see the max damage that the .25 caliber can do to smaller pests . :8: :8: :8:

Vulcan is a small size and light weight gun. At full power the 25 cal has a recoil which requires some practice and skills to manage. It offers no margin for error. On the other hand 22 cal will be less recoiling hence easier to shoot accurately.

That is beyond me, if ever I choose to take this path. I fill from a 200bar scuba tank only.
I fill to 220 bar, no point in going higher for me.

I fill from a 3200 psi tank and then top off (about 60 strokes) with a hand pump. For normal back yard plinking or target work I’ll just use the tank and fill as needed but it’s nice to know that I’ll get more than 60 full power shots for a day in the field if I take the time to top her off with the pump.

With respect to one of your posts above you state
Calif just opened up turkey hunting with pellet guns, I think they require a .22 or larger.
California didn’t just start up turkey hunting with air guns but did recently change it’s requirement for minimum pellet caliber that one can use for taking turkey, thus, the .177 minimum requirement. California has it’s issues but it is somewhat of a haven for airgunners wishing to hunt with pellet guns and is becoming evermore popular.

I can run 4 mags through mine before I refill. Might be able to go further, but I have 4 mags, so I just refill after shooting the mags.

Now, cal .22 becomes more attractive vs cal .25, to me at least.

I get about 60 shots at 33 fpe before I drop off the regulator in .22 cal.

That surely is an expensive path to follow.
Hence, reading this forum helps a few get straight to .22……perhaps, I will do too.
If calibers were wives, divorces will take a toll, financially!
