Why can’t I get a .177 Mutant?
So I PM’d and e-mailed are fearless leader of these forums a week ago about getting the .177 Mutant. That was all for nothing as I never heard back from him. So why won’t they bring the .177 here to the States? Why can’t I just order one and have it come in with the .22 shipments. Anyone have an answer before I try more dealers or am I just wasting my time.

Dear Six-Legged Bug…
BUT…are you worthy to own one? There are those who mumble quietly about your postings, and question your purity of intent!!!

I agree Hoot,
If they keep it in the same price range I will be tempted to expand my PCPs to four,,,
And I always said two was my limit no more, Pistols may be exempt for the rules…

This is being purpose built using the mutant as a foundation .
:hoot:
If so, the .25 Mutant will be a pcp to consider seriously! IF they keep within the same price range.

Hoot if it was just a barrel change and go… the .25 would be already here..

i’m seriously curious whether the .25 will have a “beefed up” valve, HST, to produce the results one expects from a larger caliber?
If they simply put a larger barrel on the existing .22, then I predict disappointing performance, and possible premature valve stem issues. Recall Ed had this same problem several years ago when Old Goat talked him into producing a .25 Matador. It took awhile to sort out that problem. This recurred with the .30 caliber and changes needed to be made to handle the heavier caliber.
I hope Taipan understands this issue and takes care to make the internals of the .25 heavy enough to absorb the increased wear of a larger caliber.

I am pretty sure this is a hint, And I bet the 177 will be coming in with the 25 cal guns, In November of 2016
I have been wrong about a Billon times before, So I could be wrong again.

Times are changing … for the better.

I guess I missed that one! 😐
I forgot which forum I was on.
Dear RichM…
I know a guy who has one in new condition and wants to unload it!
Hoot:
:hoot:
I didn’t mean he wanted to sell it…he put a .20 caliber pellet in it and can’t get it unloaded!
Hoot:
I would have been interested but…I have a Mutant Shorty .22 coming as well as a AA S200 .177 barrel and I’m getting the factory conversion kit. Dman will build it. Heck were practically neighbors. :biggrinn:
So I’ll have my .177 Mutant Shorty and when the .25 is available I’ll have the trifecta.

I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting on the mfg to produce any .177 shorty!
