Why My Wife Keeps Getting New Cars

coda , install a cattle push guard on the front of the wifes’ vehicle , that way when she hits a deer or what ever kind of animal
it shouldn’t damage her vehicle to the point that she will need to have it replaced . :2cents:

Every time I ask him that he says it isn’t THAT good. Not sure what that means. He said when he was playing the minimum salary was like 350k a season. He lives on 70 acres in the Ozarks here with a house, in-ground pool, and water falls going down each side of the house about 15-20 minutes from me. He approached me about fifteen years ago at our RC field to help him try to learn RC helicopters. I have been hunting there and enjoying his toys ever since. lol
He loves guns. He has four different gun ranges now from 50 to 300 yards. Two are off of the back deck 100 and 200 yard and the 50 yard pistol range or for .22s is off of the front deck. He pushed up a berm with his bulldozer for the 300 yard you must walk a bit too. 😯 The reason there are several is the steep hills and woods make each range unique. I dropped my gun club membership long ago.
It is about half a mile gravel road to get back to his house and two electronic gates in heavy hills and solid woods. He is very private now. 😆 We built a paint ball field in a clearing he made maybe ten years ago and did that out there with the relatives and families for about five years. He is what I would call 90% retired since he left football. He does mainly youth things at the local schools for the football teams.
I just finished three weeks of turkey hunting there. I almost bought a farm two hours away for hunting until I met him. He convinced me not too. I learned how to operate a skid steer and bulldozer just playing for hours and hours on his. It’s amazing who you run into too.

I wonder what his pension is a year???
The guy added $6400 in options to get my Lariat up to 61k and another $1500 in aftermarket accessories.
Add another 10k for going from the 150 to the 250 KR.
My buddy just bought a 40′ 5th wheel also just bought a 350 with duelies. He is a retired Oakland Raiders player. 😀 I think he spent about $125k for both. Lol
I just looked at a 2016 KR price was $ 63,000 :suprisedn:
I lose a full mpg on the highway with the 3.73 (locking as well) but she wants a huge RV ( 37′ 7500 lbs empty). 😆 On the other hand it accelerates like a rocket up a hill compared to my Lariat with the 5.4 V8. This new Lariat is 12″ longer than my old one. Most of that is in the rear seating area. It is like a room with the seats up. It has the hitch assist so one person can hook up.
Very nice on the King Ranch. I glanced at a 250 Ranch King that was also one year old. They are expensive. Its strange now because the towing capacity on the 250 has become a smaller jump up from the max tow configured 150s. It used to be a pretty large jump. The 250 is quite a jump in price. 😯
Sounds real nice Coda. I love my 2015 King Ranch 4X4, I went with the 3:55 locking rear end. Highway driving I average 20.5 to 21.5 MPG. Jody’s Escape was about the same but I have a buddy, believe it or not, that gives me Ford A Plan. :8:
We would have gotten at least another $1k for her Escape selling it directly but I have had a few weirdos show up selling stuff. We had to have the 4WD’s where we live and I would get it anyways.
I just build hers on Ford’s site and it comes to $39,305. 😯 Not bad for what really is a luxury car.
My Lariat truck sticker was $61k. That is crazy for a truck. lol The guy who bought it new paid $53k in March of last year (2015) after discounts, etc.. He only put 7500 miles on it and I paid $37k 13 months later. It still smells brand new and not a mark on it. He must have had money to burn. He set it up for max towing with the 3.73 rear end I needed but a hitch was never put into the tow receiver. It is all brand new with most of the warranty left. It’s the second car like that I bought. Some folks need a new car every year or maybe something changed in his life. It has a bed liner but nothing was ever put into the bed as far as I can tell. I should get the new tonneau cover in about two weeks.
What color did she get? Titanium? :8:
She got White Gold and it’s the Titanium Model. We’re selling her 2010 Lincoln MKS with only 43,000 miles on it, it’s on Craigslist.
Oh yes – a year ago. We traded it on the new truck with an accident on Carfax. It just touched the front bumper but it got replaced. She has my Titanium Escape now since it only had 30k miles. She hit two deer with her previous minivan and it was totaled on the last one. 😆 My Escape is the Platinum tri-coat white so I am hoping it repels them. 😯 I hit a deer half asleep about 20 years ago going deer hunting at 5am. I think she drives with blinders on. 😎 We see them every day so they are too plentiful right here in the neighborhood. They play with the next door neighbors dog.
What color did she get? Titanium? :8:
We just had a black bear nearby a few days ago. Looks pretty young.
Don’t tell me she hit a deer with her Escape??? :suprisedn: Jody just ordered a 2017 Escape, we don’t have that many deer around here……

She would not even let me get a brush guard for the new truck.
