why would there be lead shards in my cocking knob?
so I am disassembing my condor to do some polishing and clean up. I took off cocking knob and.it has lead chunks.in it? any reason for this?

Making the breech heavier on purpose will only lengthen the valve opening sequence. The heavier the breech is, the slower it will move when the hammer strikes it.
Your not likely to see any difference on the chrony, just get rid of the lead.
no lead in the breach. there is a few pieces in the actaul knob under the rubber cap. put there intentionally. ill chronny n see if it makes a diff
Probably blow back from a shroud, you will probably need to clean that out to get the slider to work smoothly, try blasting them out with clean air, like back flushing a cars radiator, or use cleaner, then go on to the polishing. I always like polishing in both directions, I use Flitz, great stuff, can be obtained at ACE your friendly hardware place.

lol didnt know. Ill chrony with and without them kinda makes sense acts as a heavier hammer in a sense.
not really, just a idea , dumb one.. just take them out…
